At 11,5 would you consider the other side?

Hi team! First edition of the sports pages out of the way, time to concentrate on the serious stuff

I made my lines a day or two later than usual last night and had the Brumbies @ -8.5. I guess talking strictly line differences then at +11.5 (which is incidentally the Centrebet $2 line) you could look at the Stormers but I tend to side with AV2 that the Brumbies may be worth a play aound -9.5 this weekend after an initial look. They let a big lead slip v the Bulls and coach Jones will have been reminding them in training all week about maintaining standards. No play yet, more study to do on the Stormers, but the Brumbies are capable of running up big tallies quickly. More later on this one.
Most other Super12 lines were pretty much as I'd thought; looking at the Bulls as a cover again @ approx +17.5 v the Highlanders.

In the NRL, one line that leapt out at me was the Panthers -4.5 v the Sharks. Maybe it's just me falling in love with the Sharks - or more pointedly demanding a return after they lost late covers two weeks in a row

- but can't see how the Panthers, 1-4 SU and ATS (only win and cover v the Cowboys) can start favourites here, let along give more than a try - may play early.
The Cowboys @ -4.5 ($2 line) is another that surprised me; obviously the books feel that the Tigers played solely on emotion in the thrashing of the Storm last week after Field and McGuinness failed drug tests during the week. But I'm going to check my stats carefully tonite as I believe they'll indicate the Tigers are a far better unit (and the Cowboys are 0-3 SU at home).
No line yet on the Dragons v Eagles game with the Dragons suffering horrendous injury problems. Watch this one closely; I understand the Dragons are planning a special pre-match ceremony for former skipper Nathan Brown, whose career was ended by a pre-season neck injury. Trent Barrett, out again this week, also hinted that Shaun Timmin's career may also be over with a knee injury. Could be the Tigers/Storm all over again, especially v an Eagles team with notable defensive frailties.
Just early thoughts of course
