The Bodog Sportsbook features its latest odds to win the 2007 Super Bowl.
Here are the favorites:
Indianapolis Colts 13/4
Chicago Bears 3/1
Baltimore Ravens 6/1
New York Giants 6/1
New England Patriots 7/1
No surprises there, except perhaps for the Ravens getting shorter odds than the Pats. McNair over Brady? Really?
As for an interesting medium shot...
Jacksonville Jaguars - 28/1
The Jags (5-3) have already beaten some very good teams in 2006 - there was Philly in Week 8, Pittsburgh in Week 2, and Dallas in Week 1. Mostly, they've done it on the strength of their defense. And with disciplined David Garrad taking over quarterbacking duties for the injured and occasionally wild Byron Leftwich, the Jags could make a run at things. Of note, Jacksonville gets its toughest remaining opponents - NY Giants, Indy, and New England - at home.
Some are using this season's performance as a reason to believe the Jaguars will be a legitimate Super Bowl contender this year, while others are saying this season's Jags are merely a mirage.
It will be a tough go. To get to the NFL Playoffs, the Jaguars will likely have to win three games at home. The players might believe, but most others don't. The Jaguars will probabaly be underdogs even though they will play at their own field.
The Chicago Bears will be looking to rebound from an embarrassing loss to Miami when they visit the New York Giants on Sunday night. Better defense will be needed as the Bears have given up over 20 points per game in their last three. NFL lines for Sunday Night Football are up in the Sportsbook!
