Best month of my gambling life in Jan. I've been playing loose in Feb and giving it back. Hopefully that stops today!

I think Pit rolls. Any kind of weakness from Hasselbeck, it's over. Alexander's weak. I thought Sea could scrore a couple, but upon further review, nope. Don't think so. They may get one FG and flag=aided TD, no more.

Prediction: Pit 42-10.

My plays:

2000 Pit -28.5 +1600
1000 penalties 11.5 Over -104
1000 48 Over +115
500 48 Over +118
1000 Pit -5.5 +118
700 largest leader (either) 13.5 Over -140
1200 Teaser: Pit +3, 39.5 Over

Good luck.

Ugh. Had the right side -- and lost everything else. Lost huge, 7k. I can honestly say I received
$13.86 worth of enjoyment for my money, watching the commercials interrupted by blips of football.

Roethlisberger was nervous. Anyone attributing his poor first half to the Seattle defense is wrong. He had people, he just didn't hit them. It was nerves. I did not expect that. It's like he got the team there, but they brought him the rest of the way.

The INT was horrible. Easy TD if he puts air under it. They're up 21-3, and my 2000 to win 32,000 on Pit -28.5 has a real shot, as they weren't even halfway through the third.

Hasselbeck was impressive. I almost found myself pulling for Seattle to win.

The reffing was poor. The refs hog-tied Seattle in the first half. This definitely hurt the Over, as well as the side.

Was an odd game. A poor game. Not even a very interesting game. I predict Roethlisberger will get back there and play much better next time. Pit should have rolled, but Roethlisberger's nerves and seemingly obligatory but inadvisable handoffs to Bettis made for a slow, subpar contest. I can't help but feel that if the refs hadn't stolen that TD from Sea, Pit would have had to pass, and Roeth would have come out of his slumber. At the end I was amazed it didn't end up 21-18, which would have screwed more people than any other outcome.

It's difficult to conclude much from this game. Hasselbeck goes way up in my book. He was confident and had the look of the winner. Ward was the only Pit player with the juice on. I just can't take much meaning from this victory because the reffing so lousy. At the same time Hasselbeck played well, I can't help but feel that if Roeth had played normally -- not great, just normally -- they would have scored the six TDs I predicted. Sea's defense is nothing special. Their offensive line did prove better than I thought, Pit got very little pressure on them.

Until next year...
