WIGAN WARRIORS vs BRADFORD BULLS
What a opener to the 2002 Super League. A match up between possibly the best two teams in Super League!
Bradford were simply awesome last season, and continued that success with a World Club victory over Newcastle of Australia in terrible conditions. They start this season minus the massively influential Henry Paul and a few other influential figures but remain the team to beat. They simply overawed Wigan in the grand final with a near perfect performance. They will be hard stretched to repeat that performance tonight.
Wigan on the other hand have began the season in fine style. A impressive defeat of Hull in the Challenge Cup was followed last week by a 70 point hammering of French side UTC. They would have targeted this as a revenge game as soon as the draw was made for this years Super League.
It seems every man and his dog are backing Wigan tonight which has forced the handicap out as far as a six point start for Bradford. You can still get Wigan at -2 points with Hills but at an unimpressive 4/7. However I think a gamble is on here taking Wigan at -4 points. I see this game as a perfect way in which to start what I hope will be another profitable Super League season!!
