Well bama and The Citadel covered but Wyoming and UTEP didnt so a split night. Seem to get alot of those.

Tonight though is a great night to like college basketball as the Big Ten/ACC tournament starts. I personally love the Tar Heels but we wont talk about them at this time. Here is what I got for tonight and again I love feedback and opinions.

Iowa +11 I really like this team, they got beat by Missouri who also happens to be a very good team by a stupid foul at the buzzer. Iowa led the whole game but a stupid mistake at the end cost them the game. Duke hasnt hit on all cylinders yet and that scares me but I still feel they miss Battier more than they will say. Yes Dunleavy and Williams are awesome but on the other side you have Luke Recker and Raymond Evans. They might not be as good but they know how to play the game. To many points here, got to go with the Hawkeyes.

Butler +3 This team can play and they showed it in the tournament last year against Wake Forest.

Ohio St. -4.5 Like the buckeyes at home, Brown and Darby can fill it up. NC State lost its whole front line and rely heavily on the guards. I just see the leadership playing a role here with the buckeyes.

Looking at the Western Kentucky/Creighton game, dont know much about Creighton.

Others to look at:

Maryland -3.5
Villanova -8

Be back later!

Bluejays' win leaves Altman with concerns

BY RICH KAIPUST
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

The final score Sunday night might have suggested that Creighton played better than it did during its 72-51 win over North Carolina A&T.

Those watching at the Civic Auditorium would attest that the Bluejays weren't so pretty. In fact, the two teams combined for some basketball that served a solid reminder that it's mid-November.

"I'm a little disappointed that we haven't utilized our practice time as well as we should have," Creighton Coach Dana Altman said. "I'm watching that game thinking we've had four or five weeks of practice here, and it sure doesn't look like it."

Creighton committed 25 turnovers during its season-opening game, but that was still eight fewer than the Aggies. The Bluejays didn't shoot particularly well at 42.6 percent from the field, but they were more accurate than their opponent at 33.3.

Among the 58 total turnovers were a mix of balls dribbled off feet, extra steps taken and - mostly - passes thrown where teammates weren't standing.

"Our guys just got going fast, trying to do stuff we're not asking them to do," Altman said. "They were all trying to make plays every time they touched it and not letting the offense work for them."

Terrell Taylor helped dress up the effort for Creighton before a crowd of 5,049. When the junior made three straight 3-point shots midway through the second half, the Bluejays finally were able to shake free.

The 57-second barrage by Taylor followed a couple earlier talks with Altman when the coach wasn't pleased with where or when Taylor was shooting.

"If I think I can hit a shot, I'm going to take it," Taylor said. "My decision-making just has to get a little better."

North Carolina A&T, 0-2 heading into a Tuesday night game at Nebraska, trailed just 34-29 at halftime despite having as many turnovers as shots (20 each). The Aggies remained within 48-42 after a tip-in by Victor Carter with 9:31 left in the game.

Taylor's burst bumped CU's edge to 57-42 and North Carolina A&T never got back within 13.

"If we take better care of the ball, we have a chance to at least stay in the game or make the game more respectable," A&T Coach Curtis Hunter said.

Kyle Korver had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Creighton, and Taylor finished with 14 points, three assists and two steals. Sophomore center Joe Dabbert added 12 points and seven rebounds - and some perspective on it all.

"When every other time down we turn it over, it makes it tough to get in a flow," Dabbert said. "At times in the second half I thought we were doing pretty good with our offense, but with 58 turnovers ... that'll throw off any rhythm." N.C. A&T (0-2)

The Bluejays lost six seniors, including the second-team all-MVC backcourt duo of Ryan Sears and Ben Walker. They haven't played in over a week, and looked pretty rusty then. I don't expect the ballhandling to improve until they get a few games under their belts. They are picked to be second in the Valley this year and they do have a strong home court advantage, but W. Kentucky @ -4 seems way too cheap to pass up.

Nice write-up, Bromo. Agree with the Iowa play-- feel they can win the game outright....IF they get fair officiating.
Reggie Evans should have a great game for the Hawks tonite.......
