My wife got me good this past weekend....My 30th is not until next wk, but she had a bash for me down in the city. (Philly)
Here's how she did it:
We own restaurants in Maryland & Delaware so getting out on a Sat night are far & few between. I have friends that know Eagles players personally, so she got these guys to call me up and say that they had won seats at a charity dinner for D. Akers and I was who they chose to bring along because of my love for the birds. They told me Coach Reid was going to be there and so was McNabb.
They told me the dinner was at the Monte Carlo Living Room Night Club Area, (I had heard it was a nice place so I was pumped.)
Saturday comes along and I all dressed up, I meet these guys and then we drive there, I start going up the stairs and all of the sudden I open the door and all of my family and friends from college are there. It was great. She has a special cake made that looks like a black jack table, open bar & a great buffet. The only thing missing was the tv so we could get a Jets score. Of course all of my gambling friends have it on their phones internet. Then the best part is my wife pulls me up on stage and starts a slow dance with me that changes into a stripper show complete with 2 strippers. It was hilarious. Well my whole family is cracking up watching this show...Afterwards, the guys that brought me say on the mike;"We figured you would be pissed that the Eagles were not here, so we are taking you to the Super Bowl and hopefully they will be there. I leave on Thursday Feb4th and come back on the 7th. Awesome!!!! What a b-day gift...
Then we leave the club and my wife has a limo waiting outside and myself and about 14 people head down to AC to play some black jack at the Borgata...I end up winning 4,000. Get back to house in DE about 630 am, sleep a little and wake up for the Indy game 30 minutes before kickoff. When I get the pics developed I will somehow put them up here. I will probably need DR. Strangeloves help on that.
Now my wife's 30th is in a 1.5 years, I need help to top this one!! Any party planners out there??
