Surfing at work...need help

All of a sudden, everytime I try to get to this site at the office, it is blocked off by some kind of web software because it has the word "gambling" in it.

Anyone know how I can get around it?

There are some programs and some websites that basically route all of your websurfing through one site and then to the public net. I can't think of any off hand at the moment, but I could get back to you tomorrow. It can be very slow though. Essentially it tricks any blocking your IT department has set up because it only shows that you are going to that one site. The problem with something like that is if your IT guys are blocking sites re: gambling they are probably blocking the kind of thing I am talking about too.

You might try going to Yahoo first, then put madjack's into search. I doubt this will do it, but on some filters this would be sufficient to get you through.

Honus, please be very careful here. Your employer has taken the first step to monitoring your internet use and screening the sites you can access. If you have an internet policy at work, some employers will terminate their employees for visiting the wrong sites.

Bottom line, it's simply not worth losing your job to surf the internet.

While I like YYZ' advice the best (maybe one day), I'll try the goofy approach (no pun intended) on Monday when I'm back in the office.

thanks for all the help on this. I put so many hours in that it's difficult to leave the office to be home in time to read/post prior to game time during the week.

As for getting caught and getting canned, with payout packages corporations are handing out these days, one can only wish.
