I am in a tight jam this week. I cant believe I think I may be taking the Detroit Lions. :scared :scared

I have used: (not in order)

SD, Pitt, NE, NO, Wash, NYG, Jax & Dallas.

I see no games that jump out.

Who esle to consider?? TB?

Any suggestions.

I might take Oakland. Would take Pitt but already used them. Would not go against the Browns at home. I still have both New England and Indy to use, so really hoping I can get through this week. Looking like a complete crapshoot, though.

I would go with Tampa bay. They are a good home team with a good D. They lost last week to jax and I fully expect them to bounce back big this week. Arizona sucks on the road. Tampa bay is the pick this week.

You might have to make it through 2 weeks, because NE is on bye and Indy is at San Diego which would certainly be a risky pick IMO.

Survivor - Week 9

Survivor - Week 9

Alive in both pools yet ? but WOW, week 9 is the toughest yet by far?

Used so far:
Pool #1: Houston, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Dallas, Tennessee, Baltimore, Washington, NY Giants
Pool #2: Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Dallas, Tennessee, Baltimore, Washington, NY Giants

Week #9 Leans (and yes, they are scary)
Tampa Bay over Arizona
Cleveland over Seattle
Atlanta over SF
Oakland over Houston
San Diego over Minnesota (I hate taking road teams but this one looks the least scary on paper)

I probably also would take Pittsburgh Monday night if I had not already used them.

:scared
(Yikes!)

Man, this week is tough. I am expecting Tampa Bay to be the "Blowup Game" where 3/4's of the pool is on it and gets knocked out when Arizona wins. When my two best options are the Raiders and Oakland, you know times are tough!

bj, I also have that feeling about the Tampa game. Arizona is not a bad team this year with Wisenhunt as the coach and Warner at QB. They did beat a good Pittsburgh team a few weeks ago. I also agree that a lot of people are going to be on them this week. Right now, I am actually leaning San Diego which will be the first time I have used a road team this season. Other leans would also be Oakland and Cleveland and neither of them give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Wow, for some reason it is Arizona +3.5 over TB that stands out to me. It's true that Arizona doesn't play well on the road, but all I see is that they lost @ S.F. by 3, won @ Stl by 3, lost @ Baltimore by 3 and recently lost @ Washington by 2. If this game were TB -2 or less, I'd be more willing to pass, but getting 3.5 points really looks tempting....

Yes, Arizona is 1-3 on the road, but they were tough losses. They were beaten by Baltimore on a field goal as time expired, lost to Washington when they missed a game-winning field goal as time expired, and to San Fran in a game they led most of the way until fluke play set up SF's go-ahead touchdown with 22 seconds to play.

Tampa bay will win and cover.

Arizona is not a good team and the teams they have played are not that good either.

Also, be advised that they were getting killed by Baltimore and Washington and staged late comebacks just to fall short.

Jeff Garcia had his worst game of the season last week, and I don't think he will look like that again.

Tampa Bay is a very underrated team and may be the best team that Arizona has faced so far this year.

Baltimore and Washington are the best teams they have played, and those two teams suck in my opinion.

Zona did beat Pittsburgh & Seattle.

Zona on the road is a different animal than the one at home.

Don't forget Seattle sucks on the road as well and Pittsburgh lost to Denver away from Heinz field

Read what canabiz wrote. That is what I meant.

Arizona is a new team at home. On the road they are terrible.

Likewise Tampa is a great home team and a bad road team.

If this game were Tampa Bay at Arizona my outlook on it would be totally different.

Went with Kansas City. Think this is vulnerable spot for the Packers. It's my only entry left, so here's to hoping we can live another week.
