of which I have NONE for this sorry piece of chit! I can't believe the media is trying to convince us of feeling some sort of remorse for this pathetic individual.

The only thing that I would have done differently is stuck an apple in his mouth so he wouldn't have grinded his teeth off from the electric shocks!   :thefinger :thefinger

Neemer,I agree with you 100%on this. When the USS Cole was attacked this guy sent his parents an e-mail stating that he supported this attack& couldn't understand why his parents disagreed with him.He also wrote other e-mails denouncing the US ways & urged his mother to join him in relocating to the mid-east.
Isn't it funny(for lack of a better word)that he is now using the laws& ways that he denounced to defend him in taking up arms against the US.It is truely sickening.

So you think this is appropriate treatment for someone who is "denouncing US ways"??

What a crime! I don't have much sympathy for this guy either but if you are listing "denouncing US ways" as one of his worst deeds then please don't turn around and refer to yourself as the land of the free ...

FREEdom is lost when you commit treason. :nono:

Especially if you're a spoiled "well to do" brat with "dope on the brain" illusions of fighting for a cause alien to you. Probably just for kicks.

He denounced US ways with a rifle in his hand aimed at US soldiers and supported an attack on a US ship. Maybe you could do a little thinking, too, PCzech.

the problem with talking about these important issues on a forum is that everyone has their minds made up beforehand and don't bother to read the words of the posts closely enough.

BBC, please go back and read AR182's post again and then mine. He insinuated that denouncing US ways should be punishable and I was trying to say that this is a hypocritical stance for an American to be taking. I hope this is a little clearer to you now.

PCzech...Sorry if my post was not clear.I don't think he should be punished for denouncing America's ways. What I meant was that the same things he is knocking he is using to defend himself. He has said that he disapproves of the US laws but is using it for his convenience. He shold not have it both ways.
He should be tried for treason because he took up arms against the US in war.

Hope that clears things up.

I'm assuming your remarks were directed towards "ONE" person and one person only. I think the fella deserves every bit of harsh treatment he's getting for this reason as well, but as we all know, he's done numerous other horrendous acts against the USA while he was a member of some murderous and sick group that enjoyed killing innocent women and children. The treatment that they displayed against women of their own country would be reason enough to justify the current treatment of this individual. Who knows how many Americans this piece of chit injured or killed when he took up arms against the good ole USA.

It's inconceivable to me that their are a few individuals who actually feel some remorse for this sick individual, perhaps it's easier for someone from Sweden to feel such a way. Perhaps it would be made more difficult if the fella would have taken up arms against your Swedish countrymen, maybe not...

Czech, it's too bad u don't live in the United States. We have great organizations like the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) and PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) where u would fit right in.
We also had a great 2 term president named Bill Clinton, and we darned near had another great one in Al Gore had the Republicans not cheated, those commie bastards!!

There should have been a military tribunal long ago for this guy resulting in a short stay in front of a firing squad. Nobody appreciates freedom and American ideals more than I do, but when u are an American citizen and u take up arms against your own country, that is treason and should result in a death sentence.

It seems till we got to about 1900 they had quick ways with guilty folks. At least this dude sure looks that part. Just find a tree. Anyone got a rope. I also undestand what PC is saying. We as a country have laws. We might not like it but this guy gets to use those laws. No matter how bad anyone of us screws up. Our beloved country says we have laws we live by and everyone gets to use them. Don't know if were right or wrong. But I am sure glad we have those laws. Other wise we are just another country with make up laws or shall we say no laws. So yes right way should have been done quick with a rope and a tree because we do feal that way. And was he treated badly, maybe. Well prisoner of wars don't get hand shakes. Now someone will say were not at war. Well Im not sure what you call it. But we better all start thinking that way. The other side or sides believe they are at war with us.

AR182,

Agreed.

Neemer,

Not sure where you get the idea I feel remorse for this guy. Please go back and read my posts carefully (including the ones where I ask to read posts carefully)
