Well,

Syracuse will have a nice team this yaer....no doubt
But....it may take a little time and lets not forget that
the "Cuse" lost just about as much as Calipari did.

Add the fact that its likely that Cuse will most likely look to freshman Gerry Mcnamara to run the show in Edelins absence (if that happens), a bunch of sophomores in Warrick, pace and Forth ........ Keith Duaney for the senior leadership and 'The Franchise".........Good......... but maybe not yet! may wobble a bit out of the gate.

Memphis will be led by Big Earl Barron 7' 0" who scored 25 on 9-9 in NIT championship game.... yep top 4 scorers are gone and top 2 reb but maybe Massie will be back in Jan. Supporting cast will come to play but not too impressive

Don't know........Cuse -4 ...lean... will probably wanna see how they play together first and then watch them with Edelin

will most likely pass unless strong opinions change my mind

Although I expect Anthony to take a while before finding his groove, I still like the Orangement tommorow. McNeil apparently looks great this year and I feel that the loss of DeShaun Williams will actually help the team. Kueth Duany will have to shoulder a lot of the load early, but I see four points as a manageable line for the Cuse to cover.

Agreed that SU is very young team but Fauth, Warrick, and Duany all started last year and had significant time. McNeil was 6th man off bench and has improved greatly over summer ( lost 20 lbs and reportly dominating boards in practice). Pace showed flashes of being a solid player last year but had some problems offensively.

I believe in watching Anthony you will see what Kobe would have been like if he had went to college. He has all the skills. Will have to see if he has the mental and emotional makeup to handle being the man.

Warrick is wonderful in the open court. If he has developed some offensive moves, he will give the Orange that 3rd alternative when they have to run half court.

Forth is an excellent passer but limited in his offensive moves. Can hit the short jumper. was hoping to see him fill out more as he got pushed around pretty good last year but is very coordinated for a 7 footer.

Duany relies on his jumper and reports are that he worked hard over summer on his shooting. Watch for him to go to 3 point line on breaks.

i really believe that SU will be in national title hunt nex year. Big east basketball is back!!!!!

I will be making a play on the Cuse on the Under. Memphis has too much missing from last year's team and I expect them to struggle mightily on the offensive side. Earl Barron has shown flashes of greatness, but his play can really be spotty especially early in the season. Having seen Memphis play big games on the road in the past, they usually leave Memphians disappointed. In all honesty, I know very little about the Cuse, which is the only thing holding me back from a bigger play. As I read on the board about the Cuse, I could be making a large play by tonight.

Woodson - Did you get any insight from the dinner last night?
