Two very evenly matched teams here so I'm taking the points with Notre Dame!

Notre Dame +5 1/2...........not crazy about this being the third road game in succession for the Irish but they should match up well here.....Notre Dame is 5-1 straight up away from home and play tough D....held Pitt to 35% from the field in their last and more than half their opponents dont shoot 40%

Syracuse leads the Big East in steals but ND protects the ball well and leads in fewest turnovers......Offense numbers and Defense numbers are close....eg. ND-.478 fg% .....Syr-.481.......From 3...ND-.406.....Syr. .377 Opposition: ND- .392 fg%.....Syr. -.389 opp from 3 ....ND- .330....Syr- .307....Boards should be close and edges such as free throws etc are marginal.

ND has only one W at the Carrier Dome and Syr has taken 5 of last 6 in the series but these teams seem to match up well offensively and defensively ......Shumpert, Humphrey...D. Williams, Chris Thomas etc..............Nd scoring a bit more balanced.........

Well, it should be a good game and the points seem generous here......5.5 seems right ,,,all considered, but ND is capable of winning this game outright so I'm taking the points.

Dunno, if ND can win at the dome but ND gettin some points isn't a bad bet. If I weren't a HUGE cuse fan I'de probably take ND also. This game will come down to the last 30 seconds. Either ND will win, or SU will get cover if the hit there free throws

Dizzayton,

"No Way"....... really.......they gonna play this one? just curious about your reasoning......raucus crowd ?????what...Are the students back on campus yet ??? after winter break?
The way I see it..The "Cuse" and ND match up real well....and 5.5 may seem like a lotta points in this one as they play into the second half. ( ND has a pretty good D) ask Pitt. 35% and a game in the 50s

To me thats where I find the value in this game...the 5.5....but
maybe there are better plays...I think I'm gonna stay with ND

good luck

Maybe the total or 1/2

Maybe the total or 1/2

Studied game and your right, it could go either way. But 1st half have options:
why? The Irish have trailed at the half in six of their last eight games .In Notre Dame's first seven games of the season, the combined time the Irish had trailed in those contests was under seven minutes.Heading into its eighth game of the season at Indiana,Coach Mike Brey's squad had never trailed at the half.
at Indiana - Notre Dame found itself trailing by at 10 at the break after falling behind by as many as 14 in the first half. The Irish never led in the contest, but was able to pull within one with 21 seconds to play before the final one-point outcome.
at Miami-Ohio - Notre Dame briefly held a one-point lead against Miami-Ohio early in the contest, but did fall behind by as many as 13 in the first half. The Irish trailed by six at the intermission and gained the lead, which it never relinquished, with 6:19 left in the con- test.
at Canisius - Notre Dame trailed by two at the half against Canisius, but outscored the Golden Griffins 51-38 in the second half.
vs.Alabama - Notre Dame fell behind by 20 in the first half against Alabama and trailed by 18 before beginning the second half with a 22-7 run.The Irish led by one twice in the second half (with 6:23 remaining and with 3:28 left in the contest),but fell short in its come- back attempt.
Villanova - Notre Dame trailed by four at the half against Villanova and then fell behind by as 14 with 8:18 to play. The Irish then used a 22-8 run to take a one-point lead with 45 seconds remaining, before falling two points short in the game.
at West Virginia - Notre Dame mounted one of its biggest comebacks in recent memory against West Virginia as the Irish trailed by as many as 18 in the first half and 15 at the break. The Irish outscored the Mountaineers 46-28 in the second half and held West Virginia to just three field goals in the final 11 minutes of the contest. -- ND Website --

small play on Syracuse 1st half and Under 1st half.

If you bet ND you're basically betting that SU doesn't hit their 3's cause if they do they will win by 10+. The fan support will have not that much to do with it, just the CUSE familiarity with the dome and good shooting in it. ND is overmatched by the athletes of Syracuse and Forth and McNeil have been playing better lately.
ND has a shot to win and cover only if SU shoots less than 20% fom the arc.
