System play for Monday. . .

Looks like we have a nice little play for Monday already . . . no need to cap this one except to determine how much I'm willing to put on it which I won't know until tomorrow:

Cuse laying 5.5 over Missouri. . . the imfamous home favorite over a ranked road dog. . . what I really like about this one is that both teams have only played two road games! Huge factor for the home team as they are very used to their own rims while Missouri is used to their rims back home.

Playing this one as an average play for now. . . may increase it after I have a chance to really look into this one.

Looks like their might be another with Oklahoma St laying 2 over Oklahoma. . . only problem this one being a rivalry game. . . gonna look into this one even close than the Cuse game.

Nickelback we must think alike because I love those 2 plays for tomorrow. We have been pretty hot lately when we are on the same side except for that Duke total. LOL

Yeah G. . . always look forward to your picks. I've NEVER been strong with totals. . . honestly, probably 25% winning percentage overall with totals which is why I play maybe one a month at the very most!

The difference being 2nd half totals which I actually do quite well on. . . but for some reason, cannot cap entire game totals. Unfortunately never saw the Duke game, but it looked to me from the box score that Wake shot the three ball poorly, but Duke only hit 74 anyways. . . just lacked the up tempo that I was looking for.

Playing Oklahoma State big. . . Sooners haven't played a game on the road since their very first game! Too many games on their own rims. Not a play against travel or fatigue or anything like that associated with road teams. . . just as simple as one team playing on their home floor and the other team not used to it. Laying the two points tonight and am considering a two team system parlay, but will probably wimp out and play responsible instead of taking a risk to that degree.

I have been waiting for the Cuse and Missouri game for a while now, and I thought the line was going to be around SU -4, I still wil l take the Cuse, but not as bigm should be a nice matchup becasue these two schools match up nicely

I always look forward to your posts. I love this trend BUT, I think that when the polls come out today that both Okl St and Syracuse will have made it into the top 25....they both deserve to be ranked IMO. They are 26-28 last week and should get in today when polls are released. Just an FYI!

nickle, i too look forward to your posts. and i am normally a big fan of a home favorite over a ranked dog... but...

i think that there are a few teams that are exceptions to the rule.
and MISSOURI is one of those. i believe if they get hot, they can be dangerous. i don't have anything to back this up, it's just a feeling.

i will probably pass on this play... but, if you take cuse, hope that paulding doesn't heat up... HE IS THAT GOOD.

I agree with you totally Volfan....and I have noticed the same about the less ranked over the higher as well. By the way Sampson is 2-6 @ Gallegher Arena and 8-10 overall vs. Sutton. For the first time in a long time I have capped a game that tells me to stay away or play Ok St if I do play it.....but my gut says to go the opposite of what I cap it and take Oklahoma!!!! What to do, what to do......

One final point to make on both of these plays is the fact that both home teams have played a high majority of their games at home and both road teams have played a very high majority of their games at home. This spells a very big advantage for both home teams IMO.

Playing both very big. Looking into Hawaii and ETSU, but only two very big plays today and the rest small if anything. . . GL all and I do appreciate everyone's comments as I do read them.

since my database was destroyed, I have a question:

is there any value/difference by having the lines come out BEFORE the POLLS are released (since the two faves are now ranked)?

Obviously, the public now sees that the previously unranked teams are ranked now, and this may affect the money on both sides. My guess is that the oddsmaker doesnt take this into account MUCH, or does he even care? And finally, how does this affect the angle, if any?

I originally liked Syracuse, but didn't like layin the wood and flopped to the other side...... had the under though....

What do ya think of that McNamara Kid..... he's pretty good.....he comes from here in Scranton, Pa.....Best kid to come out of this area since Bobby Sura...... This kid may be more talented, he just needs to be more patient.......

Thanks for posting these, Nickelback. Don't follow hoops until tourney time and this is the ONLY angle I play. It saves alot of time looking for unranked over ranked and then finding if the team is favored.

Really appreciate your effort.
