Yes I know Cincy almost/shoulda beat Ohio St. but they are not that great of a team. Temple is not that great of a team either except Temple has played 3 very tough opponents- Miami, Oregon St., S. Carolina and Temple was very competiive in all 3, especially during 1st half. Cincy would also get blown out by all 3 of those teams. Here is why I think Temple covers the game and prob. win the game outright.......
--Cincinnati will come out flat against Temple because of the very very emotional loss against Ohio St. and they are playing their rival Miami Ohio next week. Plus Temple is an OOC game and who can get excited playing Temple?
--THis will be Cincy first road game of the year, and on top of that it is very likely they will come out flat, and especially with the QB problems as well has to be a distraction.
--Cincy struggled against an average West Virginia team, and WV has similar spread offense that Temple uses, and that gave cincy the fits, and cincy had a great comeback in that WV game but fell 3pts short and lost.
--Temple will be pumped to win this game becauase its a VERY winnable game for them and they have not beaten a D1 team this year and after playing 3 very tough teams in a row, they will be ready for the Bearcats.
--Even though Cincy has the QB advantage, Temple has a very good O-Line and a very good RB who torched S.Carolina in the 1st half but left game because of broken tooth. The 0-Line will give the average/poor QB Macgann for Temple enough time to pass and i think Temple jumps on Cincy early and fast, and cincy tries to make a comeback but will fall short.
--If Temple wins this game, it turns around their whole season and helps their recruiting big time, for a Cincy win it does not help the program much except get them a W for a bowl game.
--Temple also will be getting a lot of players healthy and back from injury, and they have a good Defense who has yet to put together a great defensive game. Will they this sat.? Will temple stop shooting themselves in the foot? I think they will, and here is one last think on Temple's side.....
Heavy Money is on Temple, but the public money is on Cincy, its looks so easy for Cincy to cover against Temple. I heard at one sportsbook that 119 bets have been placed on Cincy and only 44 on Temple. HEAVY money being on temple because the line dropped from 7 to 4.5. Their is a strong possibility that this game might be fixed. THe Oregon ST./Temple game was fixed and i had OSU and was screaming at my TV. It was a fix on Temple favor but OSU still covered and a lot of people lost huge money. If you watched the game you could easily see the game was fixed but it was a blown fix. Another game in the Big East was Syracuse and BYU game looked fixed as well. Why wouldn't there be a 3rd fixed game in the Big East? Make up for the big losses on the OSU/Temple game. Remember OSU was favored by 13 and went down to 9pts, and OSU was way way better team. Think about it.... but don't reply telling me games are not fixed. I have no proof, but i think a small % of games are actually influenced one way or the other, and this game has a "chance" to be fixed in Temple's favor. Just a hunch!
Good luck this weekend, but I think Temple covers and I have 2 very large bets this sat. I won my 2 biggest bets of year on USC over CO and Auburn over Miss. St. so that is why i am risking so much on 2 historically bad teams.
$500 on Temple +4.5 over Cincinnati
$500 on S. Florida +28.5 over Oklahoma
$100 on West Virginia -6.5 over E. Carolina.
