would love to bro. It is the greatest game ever invented as far as I am concerned. Maybe sometime this evening we can give her a go would be fun. I am not sure what is the best chess on line but we can find out. Go into my profile and get my yahoo instant messenger handle and give me a holler and we can play some chess. Sounds fun bro.

I play on Yahoo a few times a week at night - user: RedSoxFan42. Decent enough setup, pretty fast with a DSL line.

Shouldnt be too bad, the client seems small enough that a good modem should handle it without issue.

I'm usually in the lowest number Social Lounge. Sorry note my actual username (RedSoxFan42), I forgot I changed it for the games.

Taoist, right on

I am not sure how they calculate that stuff only that the better player you go against the more it goes up. Don't know if they take off points if you lose:shrug:

...yep, you get points deducted if you lose.... the lower ranked your opponent, the more points you lose. however, if you lose against a much higher rated opponent, you might still see your rating go up as a result of you playing someone rated so much higher than you. however, the ratings on these on-line chess places are pretty much bogus. i'm sure that there are plenty of a$$holes (looking to impress others) that sit there with a computer simulation chess game playing in the background and let the simulation game make their moves for them.... i've played a few people that seemed to move just like a computer (very mathmatically), if ya know what i mean. i don't put much stock into those computer ratings, but that's just my opinion.
