Going with the guy with skills vs. the banger. Tarver should be able to keep Johnson at bay by popping the jab and then ultimately drop him in the later rounds. Johnson is well conditioned and has a decent chin, so he is content to fight a phone booth style fight...the only problem is, Johnson is somewhat lacking in punching power (probably because he fought at middleweigt for so long, whereas Tarver is a natural light heavyweight). His fight plan will be predictable...he will look to take Tarver to the ropes, but I don't think he will be successful. Tarver will take him to school much like he did with Montell Griffin and Roy Jones.

Betting on Tarver to win by KO +150

inside the distance is +210 at 5 dimes...

also....you can get almost +700 on a johnson by decision prop..as a small hedge......i don`t see tarver losing, but, johnson is on a roll....and tarver`s been a bit inactive considering he stopped jones so early.....

he may do what guys that get impressive k.o.`s do...go for the k.o....while johnson just keeps working...

also....why not throw 5 or 10 dollars on the draw prop?...considering how many close decisions johnson seems to get involved in....

all that said...the most logical conclusion seems to be tarver by decision...lol

thanks gardenweasel, +210 inside the distance seems to be a lot better odds that what I got. Although, you're probably correct that this fight goes to a decision...I just think Tarver is at the top of his game now despite the recent inactivity and will look to impress. Meanwhile, since moving up from middleweight (last 7 years) Johnson's record is 9-9-2.
