It isn't REALLY a contest as there ain't no prizes! We don't need no stinkin prizes! But it would be interesting to see what the crew thinks the line would be. Myself, I see Taylor opening up like -300 or so. Probably less. Pavlik hasn't had the same level of competition as Jermain, HOWEVER, Pavlik will do ANYTHING to win this fight. Is Taylor willing to do the same? After playing it safe versus a "can't crack an egg" killer such as Cory Spinks, I have my doubts. I am amazed he took this. He will no doubt move up to 168 as he really can't do it at 160 anymore. I see nothing but fireworks in this one. If Manny Steward thinks Taylor can win, it has to be respected. I hope to see a nice number on the dog; I will smack it pretty good.

Taylor will certainly be the favorite but I'm thinking more like -170 variety. I'd jump on a Pavlic wager with anything around +200 but I seriously doubt if we get it. My best guess is Taylor -170, Pav +150. It's a tough pick but I was VERY impressed how easily Pav handled Miranda. He also showed a very good beard. JT looked a bit vulnerable against Hop, Wink, and flat out looked like garbage against Spinks. I respect Steward as one of the best but he was blowing smoke when he said JT is one of the meanest fighters he's ever had. I think JT lacks confidence in his abilities. This is an excellent match and a toss up.

Yea, I suppose it's just wishful thinking on my part. If JT is a big fav I get a good price on Pavlik.

"the bunker"
i`m not sure that fights vs winky and bhop are good reasons to give taylor short shrift....

yes,he crapped out ve spinks..and wasn`t exactly scintillating vs ouma.......but,how in god`s name do you get up for a powder-puff/survival first welterweight like spinks after bhop and winky?.......and ouma/...tough guy to fight...both lefties...

his performance was understandable...

think.....think about miranda vs bhop or winky..........no contest,imo...the guy`s crude, easy to hit and a wide puncher...

jose luis zertuche?....

be careful here....taylor will have the opportunity to utilize his quicks and hand speed....his best weapons..... vs a fairly stationary target....

height won`t be that big a deal....and i don`t see anybody on pavlik`s record that resembles a taylor-type talent...

if you look at pavlik`s record, all these guys set-up well stylistically for him....

and pavlik`s a white guy....(lol)

i`ll wait for everyone to bet taylor down to even money.....then check the pavlik inside the distance prop for a hedge...

.......

Ridiculous lines like what they opened on Pavlik-Taylor is why they use the pussy $100 limits.

Mayorga; opened where -400?

5dimes. They use those little 100 limits though so even when they **** up a line bad they don't really pay for it. Opened sometime before 2pm today I saw it right before I went to work. It dropped down real quick afterwards.

Right. Box gave me a heads up on their BS a while back. I think maybe they use these "feeler" lines to test the waters AND to maybe suck in habitual chalk bettors. But dog players love it, but as you said, at $100, it ain't no thang! I still think this line is off. Taylor should be a 2 buck favorite.

bwin doesnt take action from us though. For anybody else it is a nice book, a little annoying that they have boxing as a three way event.
meaning you bet a fighter to win and its a draw you lose.
