It wasn't only Ted and Bill Clinton that thought Saddam had WMD. I was doing some research and came across this joint statement:

"There is do doubt in our minds that Saddam Hussein has large stockpiles of nerve gas and chemical agents and he will not hesitate to use them. He has gassed his own people, in fact he does it every day. His Air Force is cutting edge and may start dropping bombs on us if we are not vigilant."
