he`s talking about the resto/collins fight...a afught in which panama lewis removed padding from resto`s gloves and as a result resto beat collins half to death,ruined his career and may have been a contributing factor to collins death(he went into a downward spiral after the loss).....

atlas is talking about plaster of paris"?....is that what i heard?.....who gives a shit about plaster of paris?...they removed padding from resto`s gloves....

that`s all that was needed...they`re lucky they weren`t charged with attempted murder...

i missed the opening comments,so maybe i missed something....

if i didn`t,atlas has officially jumped the shark....he needs help...and he needs to be fired...

o.k... i saw the article at fightnews....

i don`t really understand the issue...they cut the gloves and removed the padding....your knuckles are every bit as hard as plaster of paris....the p.o.p. might hurt the guy with it in his gloves if if broke on impact....

the issue was removing the padding...i saw the fight...and collins was never the same...

imo,lewis should still be in prison...or a part of every dollar he EVER earns should go to collins` family....

i walked in and caught teddy in mid-statement on the issue and he seemed to be defending the plaster allegations...

some of you may be a tad young,but i remember this fairly vividly(i was young then,too,but i remember it verrry well)...

it seemed that teddy was defending the plaster allegations and my reaction was that plaster or not,lewis and resto should have spent 20 years doing hard time...

the plaster thing is inconsequential when your hitting a guy with unpadded(or de-padded) gloves....

the argument could be made that the incident not only ruined a career but led to collins` death.....

lewis and resto skated,imo...
