looking for someone to man the kennel over the weekend

I will be away from very early Friday morning until late Sunday.

I should be able to post Turkey day plays which right now I am leaning to a play on da Lions and possibly ML on them as well

My top play for Sunday is WASHINGTON + 8 (so busy today and unable to get in at 8.5 as I planned to, but hopefully will not matter).

I'll try to post reasonings tomorrow night, but did break the tip of iceberg in nyraiders thread. I REALLY like this play and from line move I can see I am not alone. Skins are definately ot getting the credit i think they deserve yet but i do see that changing soon....

other strong leans at this point are:

Raiders
Browns

yes, washington's numbers are awesome. especially the margin over the actual spread. must ride this team as long as that factor is not adjusted in the line. off-hand, i would call it wash -2.5.

can't really argue your picks. personally, i stay away from tampa, either way.

i would suggest you take a second look at

minny

although from a bit i saw of the game and the highlights, i got a negative impression of them, they strike right at the heart of chicago with their passing. moss looks like he wants to play ball again, and he is the key to the minny offense. maybe.

pitt

getting 2 points is a real treat in a game that should be close and with pitt on top. tenn has too many problems and pitt will take whatever is given them.

seattle

they passed the big test in buffalo after the emotional win at home, and they should be more than ready to handle k.c. the fact they are getting points eliminates the spread loss, as it did in buffalo. i may go with this one.

san diego

as poor as they may have performed lately, they are a big notch above ariz and at home. what better way to get some respect than pounding on arizona? maybe this one too, although i would prefer 6.5 instead of 7.

thanks for the input. I have picked the first three of the games you mentioned for my pool already and hopefully will have some time later to analyze further. I think you are dead on about Pitt and that will probably end up a play for me over weekend as well. only thing that scares me about minny is the coming off MNF win angle, but then again they are now playing in prime time again....seattle is 'my death team' when playing with or against for real money so I'll be happy just to get the win in the pool......Diego I have to disagree (not strongly enough to play zona though) and hope to post some reasonings late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Bottom line is I think they 'spent' themselves early on and Flutie is starting to show his age.

. I am sure the 'borders' will love the leftover turkey, that is if the lions leave any leftover....

here are the plays I have in for Sunday after fully handicapping the card and discussions with my 'real world' 'sharp' compadres:

WASHINGTON + 8 (Best Bet)
ARIZONA + 7 **
BUFFALO + 4.5
PITTSBURGH + 2

Reverse with Wash/Ariz

No teasers.

No totals.

may pull the trigger on NE & Cle, if so will be small plays (100$). I used Cleveland as my suicide pool pick so I may just be content to root them on in that (only 6 players remain - 2 on Cle, SD, Phi, GB & StL are others)

for Turkey day, I am playing both dogs for 100 each, somewhat just for action, but I do feel they are the right sides. I feel stronger about WHY's lions

I'll try and post some reasonings tomorrow night if time permits.

Good luck tomorrow, this weekend and happy Thanksgiving to all!!! Hopefully we can give thanks for some winners at the dinner table tomorrow as well as everything else we have to be thankful for

by the way pep, I am questioning the Minny play....something doesn't smell right to me here and I can't quite place my finger on it. If line moves to 3.5 (doubtful) and rest of Sunday is good (hopefully

) and i get the opportunity too, I may play Chicago

thanks for keeping an eye on the pound in my absence....2-1 not too shabby, I'll take that any day

all in all a good weekend and a good sunday (for those that are following my trend, that means to fade me tomorrow night

)

3-1 plus hitting the reverse for 'big' plays. down to 4 players left in suicide pool.....got 2 'lucky' wins on Turkey day (I was thinking about these games and which were the 'right' sides. sure the favorites dominated both games for 3+ quarters, but failed to hold off the backdoor cover in the 4th in both games. There was a time I would have said Den/GB were the right sides and they got the bum loss....but then again last I checked you have to play a full 60 minutes of football in any given game....at least.)

I did end up playing NE & CLE small as well and CHI med since the day went so well. Hopefully I can keep the 'roll' going....
