I've been looking at this one for awhile and wanted to run it by the board before I got on it, but it looks like TENN TECH -3 is the strong play here by all aspects I have found...
Tech has played some good teams, and most of them on the road. This year they have played AT Cincy, Ohio State, Creighton, Hawaii, and W Kentucky. IMO, these teams are miles ahead of Martin, and while Tech lost these tough road trips, they should be ample preparation for tonights environment AND they justify TECH's record which is hanging around .500
Martin on the other hand, has played next to nobody. They went to Tennessee and had road games against underperforming St. Louis and UNLV. Considering this, their 10-5 mark is less than impressive.
On offense, TECH seems to struggle statistically, but this can be attributed in part, to the 5 games mentioned above wherein they scored only around 60 ppg. Offense has NOT been a problem against anyone MARTIN has played this year, as they are giving up almost 79 per contest and almost 48% from the field!!!!!
Conversely, TECH gives up just over 40% FG and allows 67 ppg against better overall competition. Tech averages more, and gives up less boards per game as well.
On top of this, TECH HAS WON 10 STRAIGHT AGAINST MARTIN in the series, and will have an obvious mental edge.
I am hoping to get a little feedback either way on this one, but I have been unable to find any reason to stay off TENN TECH big time! Except, of course, laying the points on the road, which can never be discounted.
Thanks in advance.
