Good pick.
I haven't been betting much of this tournament as I can't get any tv coverage yet but it is actually competitive for a rare change since the big guns are out. I think I missed the boat with Schiavone to win the tournament at about 20/1 before it started. She has the best physical skills of the lot but she always loses the mental battle (like most whoe's) against the higher ranked players....who aren't here. Watch out for Craybas.....I've been making a killing on her for the last 2 weeks (if you remeber she knocked out Clijsters in Miami). This week, she has been big odds with live-betting while down a set in her 1st 2 rounds.

alb, just be careful on craybas/

Ive also made some good bucks on her, but shes very emotional and very streaky. Today in point.

She's playing like she can beat the top 10 ranked ladies, but she is also trying to convince herself of the same thing in the process of doing it.

Nutshell, still a female. Same as it ever was.

Another winner and onto the finals.

This is going to be a tough matchup as we have a classic clay style athlete vs. the hard hitting Russian with limited mobility.

Schiavone is a play at anything stronger than 2/1 based on value alone. Petrova seemed bothered more than any other player today based on the conditions of the court influenced by wind and debris from the trees.

This line seems a bit overpriced and there's value in taking someone on their best surface (coming off a win vs. top 10 competion who won the last event on hardcourt) versus a hardcourt style player in Petrova.

There should be some more money coming in on the favorite to supply a nice value line here.

I know there are only a small handful of players reading this, but Im officially making this match a no-play

Schiavone is 4-0 H2H but after the doubles match last night it appears that she might be done. She retired citing stomach pains.

GL if any of you decide to play this one.

I agree with your take on the final. Certainly right about the favourite shortening as I laid Petrova at 1.4 (Betfair) and it's now 1.36. I'm still banging my head against the wall because as mentioned, I liked Schiavone to win this tournament but failed to get the bet on before the tournament started. I went heavy though in her last 2 so all is not lost. Does she have the confidence now to overcome her thick-skulled mental game? Petrova is far from mentally stable herself so who knows. We may get a final of brilliant skills....or the typical mentally pathetic display that reminds me why they call it the 'Whoe's Tennis Association'

This bitch has finalitis disease. A perrenial maiden, Schiavone shows us why as she did not show up today. She was 4-0 against Petrova......until now.

Good insight on your part IX.
