TEXANS/GIANTS Under 30 ? This looks like a low posted total, but I have no idea where any points will come from in this contest! The Giants are one of the clubs that does not tip their hands in the pre season. As conservative as this club is during the regular season, they play things even closer to the vest in these exhibition games. As a result, the Giants are just 1-7 S/U over the last 2 pre seasons, averaging just 14 points per game over those 8 games. Naturally, the Texans will be looking to impress in their first game ever, but don?t expect their offense to gel very quickly. Also, the Giants have excellent depth on defense, so even their reserves should be able to contain the Houston backups.

The Houston Chronicle reports Texans owner Bob McNair said Sunday what others have suspected all along. "It's doubtful Tony Boselli will be ready for the first game," McNair said. Boselli and the Texans have avoided putting a timetable on his return from multiple surgeries on his left shoulder. Considering the five-time Pro Bowl left tackle hasn't practiced since the Texans acquired him in the expansion draft, the assumption was he would not be ready Sept. 8 when the Texans open the regular season against Dallas. "Tony is making a lot of progress, but it remains to be seen when he's going to be ready," McNair said. "He hasn't even had the pads on. I've told them not to push him. We'll just have to see. Who knows? He might give us a pleasant surprise and be ready for the first game. Who knows?"
