Best game tomr.
Texas AM -3.5 over Pitt.
Wrecking Crew defense will be all over Pitt from the get go.Pitt has no running game and AM can stop anyone.TAM's pass defense is best in the country.Defense will score one and hopefully the anemic offense will get one or 2 TD's.Farris was benched vs La-Laf.He came back in but he has a frosh in McNeal looking over his shoulder.Pitt gained a total of 193 yds vs Ohio.Aggies gave up 11 yds on gr. defense vs La-Laf.But the score was 3-0 at half.Defense forced 10 TO's.
Aggies have to much speed at all the skill positions.Pitt Qb Rutherford was 9-22 with 97 yds and 3 ints vs Ohio last week.Wait till he see's the Aggie greyhounds.
This game is a mismatch regardless of the TAM offense.I see a 2 TD victory for the Aggies.

Kansas St -38 vs UL.Monroe
K-state loves to play these weak teams and roll on them at home.Lyr 64-0 over New Mex St and 40-7 over La tech.
The yr before that Ball St 76-0 and my alma mater North Texas 55-10.The yr before that Temple 40-0,Ind st 66-0,No Ill 73-7.
That's Synder's MO.His ats record is one of the best.
Lyr they had a down yr.So they look to rebound and blow some people out right away.
Plus UL-Monroe playing the big boys always gets pounded. When they play the florida's and Arkansas's the scores are 55-6 and 52-6.They have no running game with a decent Qb.
But this game is a blowout. The score 55-7.

Purdue +6.5 over Notre Dame
I know Purdue has lost the past couple of yrs to ND.ND offense doesn't impress me at all.Purdue has a nice Qb in Orton, some good RB's and Wr's.ND defense is solid but I think Purdue gives them big time problems all day and just maybe pulls a small upset.

Ga tech -23 over Conn
Conn gave BC a great game and almost pulled off an upset. But in comes GaTech and they haven't seen a team like this.Conn ended it's season last yr getting beat by Temple 56-7.Conn Qb Orlovsky is good but they have no running game what so ever.
Ga tech has a good offense that just destroyed Vandy 45-3.Hollings had 150 yds on the ground and Suggs is the Qb.
But their defense is one of the best in the ACC.They held Vandy to 9 Fd's and will do the same to UConn. The DL,LB and DB's are all athletic and have so much more speed.Tech wins this by 30.

Rutgers -7 over Buffalo
Both ranked at the bottom of the NCAA ratings. Both got beat last week by D-1-AA teams Nova beat Rutgers and Lehigh beat Buff.
Rutgers today benched Cubit the Qb.His father is the Of. coord.
But Schiano has had enough.Schiano has recruited 22 players from Florida. Many are very athletic but young.Rutgers is the better team here. The past 2 yrs Rutgers has beaten UB 31-15 and 59-0.Thats a total of 115 pts.Even though rutgers is starting a new Qb Trump, he is bigger and has a stronger arm.Buff's Qb Shecky is shakey.RB;s are so-so.They lost most of their defense and return their off.
Rutgers is playing at home.Schiano promised an improved team this yr in the BE.Then Nova comes in and pounds them.I think they take their wrath out on the poor Buffs.

UCF +3.5 over Zona.
Love Schneider at Qb.I had them last week vs Penn St.I think they not only cover but win outright.Dog of the day.

TCU -5.5 over Northwestern
TCU is loaded and talented.NW has given up in its last 3 games 56,59 and whatever Air Force did to them.No defense.TCU with Lamarques and co should roll big.

2 more dogs I'll play lightly Stanford +8.5.Offense will give BC problems even with a frosh Qb
UL Lafayette +13.5 -if they held Tex AM to a 3-0 halftime lead they will cover vs Minny

Way to many games to play.Best game is Texas Am over Pitt

Box -- nice write-ups. Can't wait for hoops.

I like TCU too.

FWIW Villanova and Lehigh are top division 1AA schools; I think VU is #15 and Lehigh is top 5.

ditto on Aggies

ditto on Aggies

I think I've liked all your fave plays this year .... I guess us ole hoop coaches think alike, hehe

Ohio threw 5 pix, I think, vs Pitt .. I also think the prop for OU/Bama total vs Aggies/Pitt has merit

have a great weekend,

"A&M has the best pass d in the country"? You can't be serious.....? Granted they have a very talented team this year on D, and I do agree that the Fags will win by 10, but come on, there is now way I would put that D in my top five. Matter of fact, they aren't even in the top two in their own conference.... Don't let the Aggies fool ya this year, they will get by these first few, but RC Slocum will have them in another weak ass bowl game just like every other year. Another 8 win season.......just enough to keep the alumn off his ass.

Wizard,I have Texas AM as one of the top secondary's.At the beggining of the season I rate all the teams.I use as much info as possible. It could be Fiest,Lawrence,Steele,Sporting News,SI,etc, etc. Most had the Aggies as one of the best.I think Sporting News[I could be wrong]had them as No.1 or 2.
Sammy Davis is the best corner in college football.Weston is another blue chip corner. But the Jones kid is probaly better and can't start.Jones of course comes in on passing downs. There not a team in the country that he wouldn't start on.I call that depth. The 2 safties are excellent also.Kiel is one of the top tacklers in the B-12 and rated 3 rd best SS in pre-season publications Appel is pretty solid.I think last yr they ranked 10th nationally.
I'm not an Aggie fan and they don't have me fooled.RC is to conservative as a coach.Their offense is avg.I believe 11th in the B-12.
I just think they will stop Pitt and win a low scoring game.

Superbook, one of my former students starts for Lehigh.Your right, both Nova and them are top teams in 2-A.
And I also can't wait for b-ball.Wait till you see jason frazier, the NY HS player of the yr.He's at Nova. The best big man I've seen in 25 yrs.Nova people should just forget about football and get in line for front row seats...

Pt gd..I watched the US team lose to Argentina.Unreal.It's called NO D. Argentina scored 4 baskets from out of bounds under the hoop.I swear in 25 yrs of coaching varsity b-ball I can only remember that happening to me two or 3 times. They deserve to lose. And then the Yugo's beat us the next nite.
I really can't get to excited. The pro game has really turned me off so much. GL tomr in your football games.

Box like the A&M pick, already hedged it with an under 44 (got it Monday) because if A&M doesn't cover it will be a 9-6 game.

Okay Mr Wizard, I agree that RC slocum is the worst coach that ever held a job more than 5 years, but the alumni and the new president will have his ass unless he comes up big this year. Already axed the Athletic Director. So RC will pull out all of the stops this year including playing true Freshman McNeal at QB.
And what's your alma matter? Just trying to come up with a sexual preference insult for your mascot.

I'm with you on Georgia Tech. This could be a sleeper team this year. A very good defense with the only question mark this year being the offense. Tennessee transfer Suggs and freshman running back Hollings have apparently put those questions to rest. Good balance in the Vanderbilt thumping with 3 passing and 3 rushing TD's. Vandy kicked a chicken dip field goal with less than 4 minutes remaining to avoid a shutout. Say what you will about Vandy's talent but the Yellow Jackets stung them like a good team should and covered the spread with 20 plus points to spare and did what a whole host of other high priced favorites didn't do last week. For all of Connecticut's heroics last week they were scoreless in the second half and showed no running game. I think Tech might come close to a shutout again and should score ample points to cover the 23.

box-

I played the UL Laf game as soon as it came out at +17. They had I believe 5 turnovers. Def played well in first half. Off. should be better. Yes Texas AM might have been taking them lightly and looking to their matchup at Pitt. On the flip side so is Minn. Check out IE's post. Minn on the road is terrible and shouldn't take anybody for granted. I would go as low as 14 in this game.

I love the Purdue play I think ND might be alittle full of themselves and I don't think a TD seperates these teams. BIG RIVARLY.

I also like the Kan ST. play alot. First home game vs. a bad opponent and yes K St tends to run the score on these non-con. teams.

I am still not sure on the other games but G Tech is a real good team but could be looking to next week at Clemson on national TV and take Conn lightly. Conn has some confidence after last week and is playing first home game.

You look to have a pretty good card- good luck.....
