Texas -4 over miami ***
They lost their coach earlier in the season ,then last night lost there top inside player in Dishu Although Texas is already weak inside the paint in scoring its Dishu's defense that will hurt more. Texas has the best 3 gds combo in the country Hunter Rice and Carr . Carr other then Nowell I think is the best player in the Tournament . But the Canes aren't an inside team They love to shoot the 3 and don't have a dominate post player They are athletic and can rebound but so can the Longhorns. .. Think Texas has more talent and depth but Pack from K-state is playing lites out Imagine Pack and Nowell were both at K-state last yr. And Sun Conf POY Omier and Def POY. Damn Sun conference let go Nowell now Omeir. Omier can rebound well and play shut down defense. Larranaga who goes to schools and coaching them to sucess is amazing. To see his dancing in the lockeroom the other day was precious. But to see his players respond to there older coach was more impressive. When you have coaches like that kids will go above and beyond .. Miami is athletic and can shoot. and rebound. A part homer call again because I have seen Texas play and although I will never eat a breakfast taco as long as I live in Texas think with the type of team the canes present to the Longhorns think Texas can get a win and cover. Texas w/o Dishu are weaker esp on post Defense .. That is what I think I'm scared of more then anything. But Bishop has elevated his game off the bench and although cannot replace Dishu and doesn't have the height he has showed he can play with the big guys. Wong, Pack and co will be tough to slow down but again I think Carr is the most underrated player in the country .
Passing on th Creighton-Sd State game I have Creighton a -1.5 to -2 fav. If it went to +2.5 might take SD St and their defense But going to pass and stay with Texas..
Last nite capped North Texas-Wisky NT is -1.5 ..wow I had Wisky as the fav by -1 .. Will continue to break down that game so hard to be objective and not let your heart get involved.
good luck today and the rest of the week . All those No 1's are gone Blue Ribbon the bible of college hoops in its top 20 have only Creighton at 11,Texas at 14,and San Diego St at 20 There top 4 teams to win were NC,Zaga,Kentucky and Duke there next Ark,Kansas UCLA Baylor Indiana,Tenn and Bama are all gone. But I have FAU to win it all .. lol go Owls and Mean green to win the NIT's Conf USA not SEC or B-12 teams

Box,
Sure hope you're right about Texas. No play on the side, but I thought with/without Disu, it should be an over game. I have Texas a six point better team, but Mia.'s last few results scare me. Just going to pull for points and my alma mater. Go Horns:0002:popcorn2 Good luck to us!

Tex is 6-8 pts better if you buy the big 12 was the best conference. The SoS distorts many numbers out there.

o/u are often very close to the cross differentials in off / def ( tex off avg’d vs mia def - mia off avg’d vs tex def) that gets us a 73-73 game or very close to it. Or scoring margins avg’d out. Here we have 74.5 - 74.5 , the o/u opened at 149

now just b/c that says close score thats obviously not a score distribution. Xavier and tex were similar 75-74 or something… didnt matter.

have played mia +4 small, texas has so much depth dont think the Disu injury matters this might be the least confidence i have in a game since msu ksu

Dog lover nobodys know more about the Longorns then you .Season tickets holder, alumus etc I think if Texas plays a front line team that can score inside they are in trouble. Dishu the transfer from Vandy has not been a huge part of their offense. 1st half of season he was average. But in last 3 or 4 games he has been a force with that " push Shot" They will miss him more on D playing the opposing players post player. Canes style is different and are very athletic and can rebound. Just think Texas defense up top is so good that the B-12 teams with there post players never got free entry passes inside. When watching Carr play is amazing He doesn't get the " star status" and many times is doubled team but this kid can penetrate and attack the basket every time down the court .Sometimes he is out of control but he escapes with good passes and if Rice is standing by himself up top alone you know this kid will shoot the long shot and will swish it for a 3. Canes know this and will counter on Defense. But Texas has some depth and Brock, Bishop have stepped up off the bench .. Canes are athletic and quick and that scares me big time. Miami matchups up well vs Texas on defense. If Bishop off the bench continues to play like he has the past few weeks think Canes are in trouble , But again Texas front court is there one weakness and there best player has a boot on. Should be a great game Texas makes the final 4.

Damn coach up 13 and you guys are forcing it and taking poor 3's You had about 4 or 5 deflections on offense and everyone of those were turn overs. Miami deserved to win because although they were down they made adjustments to get them back in the game Once they got the lead it was all over. My bad taking Texas and now have FAU to win the whole thing. If they make the finals will hedge the bet North Texas- Wisconsin next big game
