Not sure what the line is or if the books even show one but a word of caution for all you Texas backers.

Rick Barnes was interviewed at practice yesterday saying that TJ Ford had no lateral movement due to his groin injury sustained in the Iowa St. game. Groin injuries take forever to heal as it is but even if he does play, it will be very limited and he won't be at his best.

IMHO, TJ can't afford to play with no lateral movement and risk further injury through overcompensation, lack of response time, instinctive lateral move he couldn't control.

I will keep you guys updated throughout the day of any changes.

i agree.....Mizzou may be a good play here.....they looked awefully good yesterday.......

other big 12 notes:

Kansas vs. Col.......home court advantage almost for Kansas......COl has a depleted bench and a back to backer having to run against Kansas is not what they need right now.....game against Nebraska got a little physical and i would think that it was hard to get out of bed for the COL players.......see a big rout here......

K-State against OU -- may be similar......after playing OT against Baylor they have to play agianst physical team in OU......OU off a week almost and should have legs underthem to rout K-State

Eddie vs. Bob -- think Sutton will have been working for a week preping against Knight......Knight has other things on his mind right now......if Tehc opens today like they did against the Ags it will be to the showers

no stats on this but lots of routs happen in Day 2 historically in big 12 tournaments......games are usually physical thus back to backers have more of an impact in this league.......

Missouri is playing their basketball of the season

Missouri is playing their basketball of the season

THey are now one of the top rebounding teams in the Big 12, they are on fire behind the arc and Gilbert is starting to get comfortable. Kemper Arena is the Tigers second home as they already won the Guardians classic here earlier this season by beating Alabama and Iowa. Missouri would pull off the win with a healthy TJ Ford. Missouri's big 4 Rush, Gilbert, Paulding, and Johnson were all spectators in the second half in the blowout last night. People been dogging Missouri all season, they had to make alot of adjustments putting Gilbert at the point but the ship is now sailing in the right direction. We got the all around game working.

UPDATE:

"TJ is fine" Verbatim per the radio from Rick Barnes. Shootaround this morning (apparently) went OK.

Should be a good one tonight. Hook 'em!
