Hey Nickel and BobbyIrish...

Once again line movement against public opinion...Kansa looks like the obvious choice..

Texas moneyline...Good spot for Texas upset.

By the way..I used to be "double down"...changed my handle

If it happens this time, I'll be a true believer. I've been watching Kansas since ize kneehigh to a grasshopper. This team is different (better) than all the others. Lots of folks compare this to the 35-1 1997 team. This team is better. They have guards that can guard and beat people off the dribble. You can't outspeed them like teams used to. If Kansas doesn't cover here, I'm on board..

Hey DD. . .

I've been pondering over this game for a couple hours now. . . once again Kansas appears to be the better team and no reason to think they do not walk away without a W. However, the only way to beat Kansas IMO is to simply outshoot them (which isn't so simple)! UCLA was able to achieve this because they have a capable offense. I believe that Texas is also capable. My only concern is that this is the time when the best teams usually stick out from the rest and play their best basketball. I believe Kansas is the best team in the country (even better than Duke) so are we gonna see the Jayhawks at their best or will it be similar to the UCLA loss?

I will probably stay away and enjoy watching the game.

I agree 100%......

I agree 100%......

DD........I believe they have the capability to win this outright....last game they came out of their shooting slump...especially Brandon Mouton......I think he is the key ingredient tonight to decide whether or not they win or lose....If he can hit the 3's it will make Kansas come out of their packed defense and the longhorns have enough athleticism to drive to the hoop creating fouls....GLA!!!!!!

I would tend to agree but I think this Kansas team is one of the top 2 in the country and are playing out of their mind I think the youth on the Texas side might be the difference if they don't make many mistakes then they have a chance but if they do Kansas will run away from them.

Taking off my orange tinted shades....

KU has won their last four games by an average of 28 points. Their average margin of victory on the road in conference games this year has been 16 points, with the closest game being 7 at Iowa State. Included in those four road games was the worst home loss ever by Eddie Sutton and the worst home loss by K-State against KU ever.

It's POSSIBLE that Texas covers, but I wouldn't bet on it.

If you can't stomach betting the side, go with the "over". With an O/U of 162 and a spread of 4.5, the theoretical score would be 83-79. Kansas hasn't scored fewer than 83 points since the OU game almost a month ago and is leading the nation in scoring at just over 90 per game.

I'm expecting a fairly ugly first half, maybe a 3-5 point spread at half, with KU pulling away in the second half for a 88-76 win.

Monk,

My point exactly...you have the same outlook as the rest of the civilized world...but, the line has moved in the opposite direction...that was the jist of my post.

funny Monk, we both see this one the same. hope i am wrong but from what i have seen this year, i gotta agree.. i dont know if there's any need to write more about this as Felonius and Dr. Freeze basically echoed my sentiments, will be at this one(maybe i should bring a madjacks sign for espn) and i just hope to see a good game..... for what it's worth Barnes is quoted in dallas morning news as saying he still expects to run tonight:

"Kansas seems to have perfected the exact style UT coach Rick Barnes prefers his team to play. Barnes said that despite Kansas' transition game, Texas would not alter its own game to control the pace. Instead, the Longhorns will run, rely on transition defense and put a premium on rebounding.

"We're going to do what we do," Barnes said. "It is important for us to get out and run, too."

good luck to everyone tonight, dont forget it's just 1 game

gee.....maybe they will run. I don't have to be beaten over the head too much to get the message. You Texas guys should know more than me about it, if we can believe Barnes (don't know why we shouldn't), he should know more than all of us. The over sounds like a great play. I'll take it.
