1st of all thank you Coach Burns and wineguy for the nice words.
When I handicap games I have my own system that isn't any better then anyone's else's. I win some and of course lose some with that front beach house in the Caymons Islands as my goal. Think I'm getting closer since I left NY and now am in Texas. Think I'm closer now to the Caymons but its still far away. I used to go see Marist games since I lived near Poughkeepsie NY Now I live near San Marcus and the home of the Texas St Bobcats. So I know the MAAC conference and now the Sun Conf. Also go to Texas games in the Big-12 . I handicapp tonights game Texas- TCU and have a ticket to it but can't attend . Babysitting duty.
I did my homework last nite and I came out with Texas -2 . Texas is really a good team despite getting blown out at home by K-State. Giving up 118 pts but then 2 days later stop Ok St and hold them to 45. The coaching circus with Beard in the news etc. The players had a press conference the other day and some spoke frankly about the loss of their coach and there support of the new coach. . Anyway I capped the line at Texas -1 or -2. The line this morning is TCU +6.5 and I jumped on it Think the line is way off

Texas has the 4 best gds combo in the country . Carr is almost unstoppable and he is hitting his long jumper . Hunter is my favorite player. Does it all and plays unreal defense. Front line has Allen who is only 6'6 but plays like a 6'10 player. Disu is 6'9 and just avg's 6 pts and 3 bds a game. . Freshman Mitchell is 6'8 and at least 2 of his moves could make ESPN's top 10 plays every night.Explosive and plays above the rim. Cunningham comes off the bench and is a coaches dream player. Screens, rebounds,plays D and will dive for any loose ball even in the pre-game layups. Beard has recruited an excellent team and now former UTEP coach Terry takes over. Not sure if he can carry Beards sneakers because last week they give up 118 pts on D and then hold Ok St to 45. All week names of big time coaches have been rumored to replace Beard. Someone last night had a sign at the Kentucky-South Carolina game with a sign saying " Calipari go to Texas } after losing to SC The fan was thrown out. lol Terry is in a tough position. He was fired and had a losing record at UTEP but I think he recruited a lot of these Texas players and is being giving a chance to become head coach permanently..
TCU has one of the best coaches in the country in Jamie Dixon He also has a player who is the best player in the B-12 in Miles. TCU 11 game win streak was broken up vs Iowa St last week TCU 2 losses are by a combined 3 points. TCU has 2 fds Miller at 6'7 and O'Bannon at 6'6 who can rebound and score and play D. But they also have a baby air craft carrier in 6'11 soph Lampkin and think he will be Texas's biggest problem. Then you have 6'6 pre-season POY of B-12 in Miles who does everything avg 20 pts a game He can score with long range jumpers mid Range ,drives and layups. TCU plays pressure defense, gets turn over even though Texas has good gds TCU plays fast and is ranked No 1 in the country in fast break pts. Should be a great game with TCU I think just a tad better regardless of the new Moody Center home court for the Longhorns. Think TCU covers and I might play the moneyline. Lampkin is only a puppy but tonight might dominate and if he is a problem inside the Longhorn players could be saying " anybody see Miles as he drives by for a layup
St louis -6.5 over G Mason ***
I have St louie ranked to high in my capping Think their pt gd Yuri Collins is the best in the country and I think leads the nation in assists . These guys are tough to stop from scoring. Billikens problem is can they stop someone. think they can tonight .
Baylor +1.5 over West Vir ****
Love the Bears they are 0-3 and no way they go 0-4 Watched them sat night lose to K-st in OT. Flager is big time with Cryer But their freshmen George is the best Freshmen in the country. And they have some bigs inside, Baylor wins this outright. Think they have the best backcourt in the country and although their bigs are role players they rebound and play D.
UAB -12 over WKU **
Miami -10.5 over BC **
VT -2.5 over Cuse **
Think VT ha some offense that might open up some seams and holes in Boes 2-3 .
