I just talked with a friend at the gym who played ball for Tech in the early 90's and is still heavily involved with the team. He just spent the last week in Lubbock watching the team and said he doesn't remember any of Tech's offenses looing so crisp this early. Said that Graham Harrell looked awesome. I can't remember for sure but this is either the first or only second time that Leach has had a returning qb. It's typically been one and out for the qbs so there's no telling what a years experienece will do for Harrell. He also said that the WR core might be better this year than last even though they're pretty much all new. Eight isn't a very big number if this offense is going from the start.

I do know they seem to very good at taking care of business with teams that are supposed to beat...I've found out the hard way!:com: :com:

Things seem to be clicking right now but you know that when the Red Raiders go on the road, they tend to under perform.

Who's your buddy at the gym? I was at Tech during that time and have a few friends that played back then.

Josh, his name is Ryan. I don't know his last name, lol. We've gone out and had beers and we see each other at the gym almost everyday but I've never asked his last name. He wasn't someone who played much, I believe he hurt his knee early on and never recovered.

I was there from 90 to 95, when where you there?

I got there in 94 and left in 2000, but made friends with some of the old school gang. Shawn "homie" Jackson and Anthony "Buck" Wiley. The good old days.

I'm really curious to see our Defense this year. We'll be strong against the pass but I don't think we'll see many balls in the air against us.

Crabtree's a freak. LA's a freak. Easy Ed's a fast freak.

Good Luck this weekend on your bets

Josh, Ryan told me that LA looks unreal. Said our d was definately a big concern. He said the linebackers are up and down.

Well, that's about as big a play as I'll have all year so it feels good to start the year out like that.

Tech looked good, I went to the game and what was amazing was the fact that Tech had more fans there. SMU sucks for fan support. I guess the death penalty killed the fans and team both.
