You bet. But for one play, the other side would have won. Too bad that's not the way the game is played. Colt would certainly have shut down Ingram and Richardson.
The defense for Texas was deflated after Colt got hurt. If you don't realize the whole Texas team was deflated, then you need to quit gambling son. Texas was close to covering this game without Colt. With him, they win easy,
Keeko you are absolutely right... Colt completely changes the outcome of that game... Instead of 6 pts off the 2 turnovers they atleast get 10... and you take away the TD at the end of the first half and the 2 late TD's at the end of the 2nd half
If Colt was playing Texas goes up at least 10-0 and maybe 14-0. That changes the whole game. Bama has to start throwing the ball, and their QB is fucking terrible. One of the worst QB's I have ever saw. Texas wins this game easy with Colt. And whoever doesn't see that, is blind and needs to stop gambling.
and if a frog had wings we know what would have happened. ENTIRE Bama game plan woudl have been different with Colt in the game. Julio with 1 touch, Peek with zero. The only thing you can do now is simulate this game on the playstation. There will be no way to find out if Texas would have won with Colt there.
All I know is Texas needs to prepare Gilbert better for next year. There were a couple of dropped passes but he looked horrible until late in the 4th

Bama playcalling might have been a little different but would the result have been?
Both Bama offensive td's in the 1stH were due to the run.
What I am wondering is why Bama gets no credit for knocking him out of the game when they got a chance. They are a relentless blitzing team whose main intent is to get after the QB.

I TOTALLY AGREE that with Colt Texas wins this game outright and probably by 10 pts at that...If you can honestly say that they wouldn't have got at least 1 TD with Colt in the game on their first two possessions then your seriously being stubborn. They would have at least been up 10-0 and the game plan is totally different at that point....
Now on the other side shit like this happens and it sucks if you bet Texas but is great if you bet Bama...Myself...I bet Texas straight and on the ML so I was a big loser but I'm pissed that not only did I lose my wagers but that poor kid who has played for 4 years to get to a moment like this, doesn't get the opportunity to capitalize on it. I know thats sports and shit happens but I feel really bad for him.
If they played again there is no doubt in my mind I would bet on texas again and if you told me that Colt was guaranteed to play and not get hurt I would double it because I believe Texas wins going away.

If you bet Bama then congratulations on your victory but I know if I was a player on Alabama I wouldn't feel as good winning as I would if Colt McCoy played...If he played and we won then I could honestly say we beat the best all year, we were undefeated, and we were hands down the best team in the country....With out facing the best I cannot say that Alabama is the best team...If you think they are the only thing I got to say is in the words of my man Keyshawn...Come on Man!!!

I agree...I didn't understand the play call though. They called timeout with lets say 15 secs left to run a shovel pass with a QB who at that time was clearly out of his element and nervous...Why not run the clock, go to half and regroup or better yet throw a 20-30 yard pass down the seem...Texas was beating them all night down the middle. Even if it gets intercepted chances are much slimmer that they return it for a TD and the half is over, if you complete it you might have a chance for a FG...terrible play call in my opinion.

I don't know if Texas would have won with Colt in there or not, but I will say that if Texas had gotten their back-up QB some real experience this year instead of running up scores padding McCoy's stats, they might have won tonight without him.
