Thought I would post some observations conc. Adam Eaton:
Since I live here in Frisco, Tx., I had the chance to watch this guy twice in his rehab.
His fastball is about the same, but I think the problem is, it looks like he has lost the effectiveness of his changeup (at least for the time being).
His numbers were okay here at Frisco (AA) and Ok.City (AAA). However, you can't just go up to the majors just featuring your fastball. He throws a cutter, but I couldn't tell the difference between the "junk"....
Here are the numbers (copied from Minor League.com)

Adam Eaton: Individual Stats (Pitching)
Team From To W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV IP H R ER HR BB SO
Oklahoma RedHawks 07/06 07/21 0 0 1.50 2 2 0 0 0 6.0 3 1 1 0 2 8
Frisco RoughRiders 07/10 07/18 0 0 1.42 2 2 0 0 0 6.1 7 1 1 0 1 5

Well, this didn't paste the way I wanted, but Eaton had a good line in rehab., with a 1.50 era.
in 4 starts.
I'm not making any recommendations, just thought I would pass this along.
By the way, it's 11:30am and it's 91 degrees with a heat index of 98. I posted this earlier in the season, if the heat index is at 105 or higher tonight, that seems to be the magic number that pitchers turn into pumpkins and totals are blown away by the 6th inning....
Of course, all this is for information purposes only, not to be used for wagering .. :mj07:
