After 2 weeks of being drilled in practice over UNT problems, I think UT will come out more than ready to stomp someones ass - especially the OL has obviously caught a lot of blame from the UNT Game -- I'm sure they will be out to prove that was one game.
There's not a single position on the field where UNC is better, or even comparable. Hell, there's no position where they're even close. This one's over at halftime.
Texas 48, UNC 10. Maybe worse.
And to you two "fans" up above. Already admitting defeat to the Sooners and saying "OU will spank us"? I wonder how many injuries will occur from all the bandwagon riders trying to jump back on after we beat OU this year? After watching their first two dismal games against less than mediocre teams, I'm convinced more than ever that we handle them this year. I think OU did a good job on Saturday of nutting up to win the game after experiencing a lot of setbacks. It was a credit to the poise and determination of the team but the better question is, "How did Alabama repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot with penalties, dropped passes, and turnovers and still almost beat OU in Norman?"
My belief that losing Roy Williams and Rocky Calmus would have a dramatic impact on the OU defense is coming true. I heard all of the OU backers proclaim that this defense is better, faster, more athletic, etc. I still don't buy it. Losing Williams made a huge difference against Alabama.
I also think losing White will really hurt their efforts to establish a serious run game this season. You could tell that they had geared their run attack around White's mobility and quickness. Hybl has none of it. Eventually, Rawls could end up at the reins of the OU offense. I also think you could see more of Jones, rather than Works or Griffin at RB. He is a definite horse. With his strength, he could make defenses respect the OU run game simply on draws and counters.
I was impressed that, when their backs were against the wall, the Sooners pulled the game out. But, the past two OU games make me believe that several losses are in OU's future this year. Texas will be one of them.
