It would change nothing. People that do it will continue to do it because they think they are good enough to do it without causing a problem, it's everyone else that shouldn't text and drive. You will not change their minds.

Don't confuse that we me saying we should not try, but just be aware your efforts will likely be in vain. I believe our own FDC argued this point a couple years ago and he was firm in his stance that he is talented enough to text and drive at the same time and there was no reason for him to stop doing it as he wasn't causing the problem.

I still like FDC and and I always will, but that conversation certainly stuck with me.

I honk at assholes texting/favebooking/swiping right all the time. I usually have a driver during the week, so have grown accustomed to fiddling with my phone in the car. when i drive myself on nights and weekends, i often catch myself trying to read incoming texts and emails. I recently disabled alerts for texts and emails, which has lessened the temptation

]Well this will be a first. Have always looked at FDC as the voice of reason. Can't ever rem dis agreeing with him. But here he is flat out "wrong". No body is good enough to text and drive unless u have an extra pair of eyes too keep on the road. You take your eyes off the road for a split second the consequences can be lethal . Child chases a ball into the street...A cyclist darts out of an alley.. your go 70 mph and there is a 2 by 4 or some other object in the road. you lose control and you might end up dead. This actually happened to me. was coming home from Chicago and leaned over to help a lady adjust her seat.. ran over on object and lost control at 70 mph. Went thru 7 fence posts and hit a concrete embankment. Engine was pushed back into the car. Surprisingly ended up with just bruises. Passenger was taken to emergency. Receiving nurse in emergency was my buddy's gif nurse. She asks lady what happened. She said s crazy bastard on a first date tok his eye off the road and totaled the car. She was luckily all right. Since then i don't take my eye off the road for nothing. I pull over to make calls or answer them.[ If you don't learn on your own...life may teach you a deadly lesson. Got one more story . Will get to it later..maybe.

SO yes stupid is as stupid does ..............Then when stupid who thinks they are not causing any issues while texting and driving a mass of ton or two of steel rubber plastic and glass winds up causing a massive 10 vehicle pile up with millions of dollars in damages and possibly quite a few people killed or injured for life then maybe more dummies get the message..

A car or van or suv or truck is deadly weapon when drivers do not focus on the traffic around them.

I'm going to make videos of people texting or using phones while driving and walking and i bet you

that ya'll wake up fast that every second in this country we are in danger of massive catastrophe's
