Like to thank everyone for trying to help. i give up. I have been trying to fix this thing night and day following all tips that people have left and doing everything possible with microsoft support. nothing has worked. I am going to buy a new system and hope for the best. i am only replacing the motherboard and processor and case. i hope this works. thanks again fellas for your help. I too think the processor is the problem from overheating, but i have no problems running games or any other programs other than I.E. IT IS THE ONLY PROBLEM. very strange, ty again.

Did you try increasing the number of stacks?

I was trying to find how to do it the other day when I read the first string of posts. I can't remember how but am sure microsoft support or someone on here will know how to do it.

You have to go into the system and increase the number from whatever it is... up by about 4?

neverteaseit - If your problem only applies to IE then I wouldn't change the whole thing. "That for should". I know it must be frustrating but the best advice I can give you is to bring the whole thing to a technician/programmer and I'm pretty sure that if he (she)'s a good one he'll solve the problem and it will not cost you the price of an entire new machine.

BTW couldn't reach the "pro" I was talking about... Think he's on vacation...

Hey beandick I don't think I was talking to your smart ass now was I. You talk about how you was going to change. I can tell you how to change. Shut the f**k up. What an Idiot. I wish I was going to N.Y. I put your ass in the hudson personally myself. Whats your problem guy? Everybody has treated you with respect regardless of some of your smartass post. Not to worry at the rate you are going it will not be long before you are ADIOS. I'm sure it will not be long before you stick your foot in your mouth again.

This is a discussion forum idiot. That means anything is discussable. Personal, gambling and computers or anything else is a topic. I will not stoop to your level anymore. If you got a problem take it up with madjack and let him resolve it, instead of cracking on people asking for info. Why do people go out of thier way to try and ruin things
for everyone else. You have some serious personal issues that you need to deal with my man. First off, you need to take a class on communication because you skills lack in that area for sure.

Thanks again for those Legitimate responses fellas.

I have reformatted 3 times now and still the same problem, even tried a different windows 98 disk from a friend. same results. Never seen anyhting like it. I dropped 35.00 plus the phone bill with microsoft yesterday and they can't figue it out.

I was looking to upgrade anyway so will let you know what I find out.

Thanks again! GL TO ALL!

I got in on ths late, but it sounds like a data retrival problem i.e. the hard drive. I myself am doing an upgrade MB/CPU this week as soon as the parts get here. Unless you're planning on doing an upgrade anyway, I might start with the HDD
