DZ...Harden turned the ball over. Didn't shoot 3's. Did NOTHING
he normally does. Took the fewest shots in an elimination game he has all season.
Fuck he didn't score in the first Q. That guy took a dive...Period. He looked uninterested...
Sorry we will never know but that was the worst lay down of a superstar that I can remember.
T you made very solid and accurate points regarding Harden's performance last night; however, there is just no incentive for him to take a dive. Even if some crime boss got to him and said take a dive for $300,000 that would be peanuts to him. He makes way too much money for financial motivation. Plus he wants a title and wouldn't want the risk of being caught. If this was a college athlete I would be more inclined to believe it.
Something had to have happened behind closed doors....that was clearly a "fuck you" in a silent way to someone. All players have off nights, but that was insane a little too obvious. You would never see Lebron or Westbrook tank like that in a game of that magnitude. That's a huge scar on Hardens resume IMO very bad. His post game interview he didn't give a fuck
It appears to me that either the coach or someone in front office pissed him off and he played liked he could care less.

It was sure was amazing to see him sitting on the bench with coach and both wouldn't look at each other...
With coach having a 1/2 drawn up play.

Remember, he virtually disappeared in the 2012 finals against LeBron and Co. He was terrible in 2015 with their backs against the wall in game 6 in LA (the won but remember the clippers epic collapse at the hands of Houstons bench while Harden sat most of the 2nd half). He had numerous uninspiring performances in first round exits early in his career in Houston. Maybe this guy just hasn't learned how to handle the big-game pressure of high-leverage playoff games yet.
At least we have a good game tonight going down to the wire....last night was horrible for ratings
