I did this last year it is simple and not very scientific. All I can tell you is it worked last year and it is doing good out of the gate this year.

Play against the yankees following a loss. Theory being Yankees tend to ge their losses in streaks. The rest of the league tends to have their best efforts against the bombers. If the other team is home they normally have their best crowds of the season. The Yankees also seem to press badly after a loss especially to a bad team.

You can get some crazy juice in your favor betting like this. So even if the yankees onliy lose 40% of the games following a loss you should still show a profit being you will get a lot of 180-260 moneylines.

Interesting probability

Interesting probability

First Clem let me say I wish you continued success in living the gamblers dream...
I have followed this site for over 6 years now and you are one of several who understand and practice rule #1 to at least have a snowballs chance in hell of success when wagering for a profit...BANKROLL MANAGEMENT ...without it even the good ones are doomed for that parttime job at McDonalds.

It will be very interesting to see if Yankee starters other than Mike and Randy are 180-260 favs either on the road or at home.
If we take into consideration Yanks first half schedule verus the likes of Oak./Bost./Tor./Mets/Atl./Phil./Clev. albeit several of these matchups are home games for Yanks these clubs should have enough pitching and hitting to contend througout the season.
It will be very interesting to see if Chacon/Wang can establish enough presence to be 180+ verus the afore mentioned clubs ...even in a home contest..
It should be noted that the Yanks should feast on KC/TB[14 games first half schedule if I added correctly] but Fla./Det./Minn. should present at least some quality pitching matchups along the way.
Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth..and add my name to the long list of folks who wish you the very best of luck in your quest for the ultimate goal. PROFIT

P.S. sorry to hijack your thread, didn't want to bump my other one and be an attention whore

Thanks for the info Old School...I think Spurs Dynasty was looking for the record of Yanks after a loss last year, not their entire record. Thanks again though for the input and everyone else's positive contributions to this forum.

Does anyone (Clem?) have any kind of metrics on this system from previous years?

By the time you came onto the site and asked your question you could have found the answer out for yourself. I looked at this thread and went to an appropiate site and did the work in less than 5 minutes.

But as you are lazy here's the last 2 years records.

If you want to know the units profit, may I suggest you take the 10 mins it would take to do it yourself instead of asking others for the info.

2004: Yankees won 39 games and lost 26 games following a loss. The break even point would be all lines averaging +150

2005: Yankees won 39 games and lost 29 games following a loss. The break even point would be all lines averaging +135

Maybe an even stronger sytstem early in the season.

In 2004 & 2005 combined the Yankees were 27-12 after losses in August and September.

Fade em early when they are rusty and bored, I guess.
