Had lunch at McDonald's today on the way to work. Got an odd penny in my change, and was about to toss it back, as I thought it was Canadian.
Look closer, and it was a 1908-S Indian Head cent!
I knew that 1908-1909 San Francisco IH pennies were a tad more rare than others, so I looked it up on the 'net', and the lowest price I saw was $40.
It is worn, but I would say above average. The only real wear is the word "LIBERTY" is rubbed off. (Unfortunately, that is the single most important factor in the coin's worth!)
Now, I just need to make sure it stays out of the kids penny jar!
