Whatever the ins and outs of this whole episode I want to give a shout out to Carmel police for making this arrest.
I live in New Jersey. I promise you the police are so corrupt and overall so dishonest in this state, they would NEVER have arrested and charged in a comparable situation.
I remember Laurence Taylor once saying in court testimony that he was often stopped when drunk and the police arranged for him to be taken home.
