How many here know the story about THE SHRINK?

He's the one that got me started in this business. He got me my first advertiser. A couple years before MadJack's I purchased his college basketball picks and had the best college basketball season ever. That was back in 1997/1998. He's the one that got me banned from AOL too. :lol:

There was a sports gambling forum on AOL. Quite a few madjack members remember those days. They had the typical bashing and fighting like all forums do and then the rules start. You couldn't post off topic, you couldn't swear, I don't think you could bash. It was a long time ago so forgive if I don't remember it all.

You get 3 strikes and you get banned. Not only from the forum, the entire AOL system. You lose your email, your contacts, everything. Anyway, I have 2 strikes for swearing and I had been trying to get people together for a Vegas Super Bowl party. I had been posting about that for quite a while. Shrink and I got into an argument about something and he had me banned from AOL and the reason for the banning was off topic posting. There was nothing I could do about it either. I lose my personal email address and all my contacts. I had no way of getting in touch with people. I was totally lost. And since this was so far back the only thing I knew was AOL. They had everything I needed so I never explored anything on the internet away from AOL. So I started a message forum on my own and the rest is history.
