Guys has anyone been though the big D my wife told me after22 years that its over does not feel the same about me I am 45 she is 43 2 kids 19 16 her dad just past 2 months ago it has messed her up bad .Now we own or house worth about 170.000 now she has 401 stock and other things I have not much what should i do get a llawer and go after half ,my one kid the 16 year old wants to be with me the older is in school and could I get child support.

This is not a cheating thing or someone else I think her dads death is doing this but if this is it I guess I have to move on , she said she needs to find herself , now she makes most of the money in the house Iam just a guy punching the clock she makes big money ,Hell we go out three nights a week just last night we had sex we always do that but she still says she just does not feel in love with me.
Every state is different, but if you live in the state of Texas for the most part you get the assets that you acquired while married split 50-50 even if she is the one making all the money. Go talk to a lawyer. Sorry about this man, my parents went through one when I was 18...pretty tough deal. Good luck.

When your lawyer shows you what you can get do not listen to any of her friends putting a guilt trip on you. Or family members. She is leaving you and if it was the other way around a lawyer would take everything he could get from you if you were the money maker. By the way can't you guys try a separation for a while? Sounds like it could work. Let her go for a few months and don't bother her. She may come back. If not then go for the divorce.
