James, James, James........
After receiving a call from your poor mother, all I could do, was shake my head.
She had told me how Jack had let you back in the doors of this great forum, yet like the ungrateful cur that you are, you still act like a spoiled little shit. (Forgive me, Father.) You have embarrassed your family in every venue known sports handicapping on the net, and been kicked out of all of them. Your mother was sick to her stomach when she called me, and I think she was imbibing, again. (What did the doctors at St Elizabeth's tell you about how your actions affected her drinking?)
I had heard that you were back at Mad Jack's, but decided to stay at places that were free of you. You were bad for my Catholic disposition, my son. But, when your mom called this morning, I knew it was urgent. (She called on my private "bookies only" line.) She said you were back to "runnin' down the colored folk" again. (Her words....not mine.) Sure enough, I read the thread she mentioned, and you are back to wearing the extra large dunce cap!
James, it is bad enough that you stole your dad's union pension check out of his mailbox, to make the rent. It is bad enough that your mom has to take more prescription medication than Elvis ever did, because of you. It is even bad that you need more of a beating than the church, your parents, or the guys down at 119 Merrimac, and Boston Ramrod gave you. But, we are out of options, my son.
You are a lost soul, and I truly believe that there is no salvation to be had for you, James.
You seem to have suckered a couple of unsupecting dupes into another "free shot" at money here at Jack's, with another one of your famous "take my gamble" schemes. These poor souls will wake up a little wiser in the near future. You remind me of the James Woods charactor in "Casino". Always running a scam, and never getting any wiser.
A lot of things will slide in this world, but making slight of other races, will never float. I know you wish we still lived in the 30's, but we don't, James.
Now, when you are bussing tables at Legal's tonight, and swilling the last pull off of empty beer bottles, try to get some perspective on your shallow life........ Your mother deserves better.
By the way......you are still not welcome in the church. Cardinal Law will forgive most sins, but he will not tollerate yours!
Go in His peace,
Father Ryan
