. the indy defense is much better than cinncy's.
I'm actually not that convinced it is.
They played SUCH an easy schedule it's tough to know exactly how good they are...but realistically the only decent offensive teams they played all season were Seattle (28, but doesn't really count), SD (26), Cinci (37) and St. L. (28)...they do allow 4.4 ypc aswell, which SD really exploited.
Of course I'm not saying Pittsburgh are scoring machine, but they are 9th in scoring.
And, I know SD was 'weeks ago', but again, due to a very easy schedule, how many decent D's have they played?...
... 6 teams in the top 16 for yards (and points) allowed, and they scored:
24 v. Balt (inc. an INT return TD)
10 v. Jax
13 v. Cleve
26 v. Pits
26 @ JAx
17 v. SD
17 v. Zona (which we won't count either)
Av. 19.3
Interesting that in the first meeting, James ran 29 times for 124, with his longest being 10!...That's some pretty consistant running!!
Obviously the Steelers got opened up on the first play 80 yard TD pass which gave Indi room to run...will that happen again against one of the best run D's in the league?
Anyway...yeah, not sure I could play Pits, but imo, Indi are a very over-rated team.
