Health wise in that game we had 4 starters return after being out 4 weeks or more. We may not win, but were a much different team and playing 10x better this time this year then we were last year.

LETS KNCOK PEYTON OUT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all of you Pitt dreamers need to start thinking with your heads, not your hearts. Pitt is going to be humbled, no, totally dominated in Indianapolis. they're pretenders, and don't even deserve to be playing in the second round.

please, save your money, or buy me a nice new colts hat as mine is getting old and sweat-stained.

TAKE STEELERS ON THE MONEYLINE

Take the Steelers on the moneyline and go to bed. Pick up ur cash in the morning. The 10 point line is a joke!

Seems to me a certain thug Ray Lewis and has been (well never been more like it...but I believe he made 1 Pro-Bowl) Trent Dilfer lead the Ravens to an easy SB victory not too long ago.

the steelers did not have to defend the entire field against cinncy after palmer got hurt. the loss to the sd was weeks ago and the oline should be healthy for peyton. the colts will give the steeleers a chance somewhere to stay in it. ie the int to palomino in teh last one, but the steelers must get 7 points. they cannot settle for fg's. either way, i believe the steelersare in trouble due to their secondary - there were oppurtunities last week, but kitna couldn't make them pay. the indy defense is much better than cinncy's.

So Cal
Pitsburgh's defensive weakness is the corners. Pit #1 in rushing defense and lowest per rush total 3.44. But visions of Palmers deep bomb on the games first play being repeated over and over make Ind tempting. But 9.5 is alot of points... it opened at 8.5 and might even reach 10. I might be tempted at 10.

I'm actually not that convinced it is.
They played SUCH an easy schedule it's tough to know exactly how good they are...but realistically the only decent offensive teams they played all season were Seattle (28, but doesn't really count), SD (26), Cinci (37) and St. L. (28)...they do allow 4.4 ypc aswell, which SD really exploited.
Of course I'm not saying Pittsburgh are scoring machine, but they are 9th in scoring.

And, I know SD was 'weeks ago', but again, due to a very easy schedule, how many decent D's have they played?...
... 6 teams in the top 16 for yards (and points) allowed, and they scored:
24 v. Balt (inc. an INT return TD)
10 v. Jax
13 v. Cleve
26 v. Pits
26 @ JAx
17 v. SD
17 v. Zona (which we won't count either)
Av. 19.3

Interesting that in the first meeting, James ran 29 times for 124, with his longest being 10!...That's some pretty consistant running!!
Obviously the Steelers got opened up on the first play 80 yard TD pass which gave Indi room to run...will that happen again against one of the best run D's in the league?

Anyway...yeah, not sure I could play Pits, but imo, Indi are a very over-rated team.

Indy had 2 weeks to be ready for this game , pits had a very tough game last weak vs cincy, they should bang them really easy.
Im also on the opinion that if Carson Palmer played that game the history would be diferent !
GO INDY !

The last time I checked, you have to play the games that are on your schedule. So what if the Colts had SUCH an easy schedule as Mr. Christo says, they still had to go out and win the damn games. They did what they had to do and they will get it done this weekend.

Another classless remark by a classless fan.... to wish harm on a player is uncalled for. If a team can't win the game without taking out the other teams top players, then what is that saying about them... Pompous remarks and boasting about an injury to a player is not being cocky or arrogant, it is a case of low-self esteem with a side of insecurity. At least Palmer showed class when talking of the injury and realizes it is a part of football. Unlike "Big Cry-Baby Ben" after there loss to the Bengals and his comments about the hit he took from Thurman being cheap, even though his own player admitted to tripping him....

Regardless, Peyton will take advantage of the corners of the Steelers and beat them on the edges. Steelers had problems with the crowd noise in Cincy and it should only get louder in Indy... :nutkick

And they could only score 7 against the Colts. Wow, what an offense. :s4:

Rothlesberger's first game back from injury.
17/26 for just 133 and 2 INTs.

Oh, and of course schedule matters!!
You can only beat who you play...no shit!!..But people are all laughing at the state of the NFC West Conf...how about looking at the AFC South!
Indi are VERY fortunate to be in the posistion they are in.

Where are you from...oh, I see...

Wolftaz, I'm glad someone called out that pork chop who said lets take out their quarterback. Regardless of scheduling Indy has maintained a high level of performance for years which cannot go unrecognized. Why do you think every total for the last several years for their games have been in the stratospere? The only team that I can remember controlling them is the Chargers, who will, mark my words be a contender next year if they get rid of that idiot Shottenheimer. Oh, and for the record Antonio, anyone could have a winning record as quarterback for Pitt. It's not like now that Ben is healthy he will dominate you. Hell why do you think the bears have had success? It sure is hell ain't Kyle Orton. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why Pitt has had success over the last decade.
