Remember me? The "Entire Account" guy who wins, but eventually loses it all because of stupid money management?? Well, not this time!! It's been awhile and I have been able to save 2k, and I am ready to bet again,

Any of you planning on wagering on the Nebraska and/or FSU game coming up this week. I have my eyes set on those games by the way. Maybe a few more.

PS: I will turn the 2k to 10k in less than a month (or maybe lose the entire thing in a week). We'll see, stay tuned!!

$ 2 K

$ 2 K

good luck on the $2 K... your attitude is great. We are all rooting for you.

I am a big Florida St. and Nebraska follower... This week I have more confidence in F.S. than i do Nebraska... Nebraska might cover (if they do at all) late in the game. It takes a while for them to wear down their opponent. and with a new QB this is doubtful.

Florida State has a lot to prove after last years mediocrity.
:rolleyes:

Hello There,

If you're not willing to play ONLY $50 a bet (or 2.5% of your bankroll), then you STILL do not know what money management is and your $2k is as good as gone. If you really expect to turn your 2k into 10k in a short amount of time, then you're not even thinking of money management.

Don't you get it??? Its not about picking consistent winners. . . its about money management. If you don't have it, then you might as well donate the 2k to your local church instead of your bookie because that's where its gonna end up.

Good luck to you just the same, but remember what I said.

Uuuum, that's right, in order to tun 2k into 10k, you can't have money management..........or ahhhh, it wouldn't be possible, right? ;)

Haa ha ha haaa, I trust you that you'd take my money if I lose, but I don't know you well enough to trust that you'd pay up if I won big ;)

But come to think of it, I'm reluctant to trust anyone besides Vegas with my money with all these scandalous books out there these days.

Hello There's Philosophy:

Win Big or lose it all, breaking even is not an option.
=====================================

Here's a question:

Have you ever won it big and actually KEPT the winnings? I already know the answer bud. Because the odds of you actually winning big the way you bet are almost zero.

Let's just assume for a second that you were the best capper in the world. At the very best (and this is the VERY VERY best), you'd be picking at 75% (which nobody can do consistently). Even the best capper in the world (who does not exist) could not win with your money management. Therefore it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to win big BEFORE you lose it all.

Anyways, you'll do what you want to do and I'm sure you'll be back for another round once you recover from losing this $2k. Its just sad to see somebody waste their money like this when they are not even giving themself a chance to come out a winner.

THose who kept up with me in the past, knows that I am not necessarily going to bet 100% of my account on one game, however, whatever I bet on, will be no less than 1/4 of my Entire account. I am smart enough to know that if I bet 12 games, I won't go 12-0, I will lose eventually along the way. However, I also know that betting only 2.5% of your account on each play won't make me reach my 10k goal either. :rolleyes:

You will see me bet between:
"1/4 my entire account" <--->"My Entire Account"

Nothing less ;)

If I only bet $55 to win $50 on each play, and lets say I bet on 100 plays thru the season and I hit 55%, I'll only win a measly $275. Three months of work hitting 55%, and only $275 to show for it??!?! To make my 10k goal, winning $275 per year, would take me 36 yrs(seasons). I may not live 36 yrs or another 36 days for all you know. All we have is "the now" people.

I have my one pick ready to go, it's the Nebraska vs Ar st game, but I now feel reluctant to pull the trigger because I'm thinking "How the hell do I know what a team, any team is like, before they even played their first official game!?!?!?" I'm not betting big unless I've seen the teams get their azzes on the field and show me something first. Ar st might be a surprisingly great team and Nebraska might suck for all we know!!!

I might have bad money management, but I can be patient, however, I will post my play of what I WAS GOING TO PULL THE TRIGGER ON, but it won't count on my record since I'm going to lay off of it. Watch, I bet it will win :p

I'll post it later.

Hello There,

Glad to see you back.

My advice is to listen to these guys. I am no big time bettor nor am I some bettor that has been doing this for 20 years, but I do know these guys are pretty smart.

Also you do not have to bet 2% or so of your account everytime. You can vary that and pound a game or two and your money could potentially go up. It could also potentially go down. Also when I mean pound, I think maybe 10% to 20% of a bankroll. You do not have to bet 50% or 75% or 90% or even 25%. You can vary.

Anyway, take it for what it is worth and look forward to hearing from you throughout the season. :D

Hello There,

As always my goal here will be to wish everyone in the best with whatever they decide to do while offering my opinions along the way. To me, 1/4 bankroll play would be too much. My plays are usually 2% of my bankroll, and I never want more than 20% of my bankroll in action on any given night. If I have one large play, like a 10% play, I try not to have any other action.

But my personal goal is not to get to a certain number, my goal is to make money doing this, pay off some bills from excess gambling money, and save enough from one season to come back the next.

But these are all personal choices. Its really what your risk profile it is and whether you are comfortable rolling the dice on any given night with a full boat play. Its tough to say how hard it will be to get to $10K starting with $2k. Thats a significant jump for one month. But sure, it can be done.

I wish you luck though and will hopefully help out along the way if I can.

You may hit the 10K mark, who knows?....but, I know one thing, you won't keep that 10K...because you will eventually piss it right back with the 1/4 account bet. I know, I know...you'll tone it down when you reach 10k....my guess you will eye 20k....gambling and winning is addictive.

if you get up to 10 dimes...you better take out 8 of it...which will bring you back to 2 dimes...and then do it all over again! hell 8 dimes - you can buy a car with that. You can also buy the best Escorts too :D
