"Don't take the lump sum"
I thought I had always read that was the prudent advice?
Obviously someone on this forum will the jackpot. :0003
More likely someone will be one number away from winning the jackpot. Kinda like how your comment was one word away from being insightful. :0008
I'm not living 30 more years so I am taking the lump.
I'm splitting with my wife so there are no arguments about how we spend the money. If she wants to give money to certain family members on her side, that's up to her. Same with me. I'm not going to argue about amounts of money my son and grandchildren get or what she wants to give her side of the family.
I'm not waiting to cash my ticket either, I'm getting my money the first minute they are open.
I'm not announcing to the world that I won right away, and I'm heading out for a quiet vacation somewhere to start figuring this out. Leave a message. :0003
I'll get a good accountant but I'll be calling them, not them calling me. I'll get lawyers only if the accountant thinks I need one.
This ain't rocket science. :0008

Couldn't think of 4 worse pieces of advice upon winning 1.5 billion dollars
Exactly. :lol:What?
Dont take the lump sum
Dont cash ticket right away
Hire a team of lawyers (who will take a ton of it)
And dont quit your job
