abc, could you explain why you're leaving? I'm sure it's nothing to do with the golf forum, so why leave this part of the site?

Outright plays (total stake per play: 1.5pts)

Lucas Glover to win 20/1 e.w. @ Ladbrokes and Coral
Hasn't appeared on Tour since back-to-back top-15 finishes in the Playoffs, but he appeared in good form in the Presidents Cup as a wildcard selection and is presumably playing because he is sponsored by Ginn. He may play as badly as Mickelson last week, but there are a particularly strong incentive for Glover this week: at the moment he ranks 66th in the World Rankings, which means that, as things stand, he will not qualify for the any of the majors next year, despite playing in all of them this year, and nor will he even qualify for the WGC Match Play Championship in February. Having started the year in 38th place in the World Rankings, he needs a good couple of weeks, presuming that he will play next week at the Walt Disney World Resort where he won in 2005. That win was just one of five top-10 finishes in Florida over the last three years and with co-favourite Tim Clark out of the event with a neck injury, he will start as clear favourite to win another title in this State.

Jesper Parnevik to win 40/1 e.w. @ Sportingbet
Parnevik is also a former winner in Florida, having earned his 5th Tour title at the 2001 Honda Classic. He may be winless since then, but he has come as close to winning again in recent weeks as in any time since 2001: in his last three events, he has finished 17th, 2nd and 14th and that 2nd place finish was only courtesy of a playoff loss having been a wire-to-wire leader in the Texas Open. With the last week's Tour event being played 2,000 miles away in Arizona and a further 4,000 miles being covered in the previous five weeks of the Fall Series, it should certainly help, and particularly at this stage of a gruelling season, that Parnevik (and Glover) did not play last week. He managed top-10 finishes in both October events in Florida last year and he should be confident of matching that in his current form.

Same view as Stan--

We seldom have any probs down here-wouldn't let others in other places keep you from doing something you enjoy.

Of course thats your decision--but I think worth rethinking.

Being of Northern Ireland extraction, I have long passed conversations on politics and religion. Being a Golfer, a Manchester United, Rugby and Boxing fan, i'll stick with that thank you. Conquers all divides (well apart from the United bit but everyone loves or hates us regardless of race or religion!)

Looks like it's Dufner against Frazar. and I am guessing the line will be around -140, must admit dont' know much about Dufner, but I do know Frazar has missed the cut in 9 of his last 10 tourney's so I will keep on fading him, will post the line when it comes up.

abc is staying! :00hour

Thanks guys. All of yall are cool.

Going big on this one ( Not 6 units but big enough)

Franco -135 over Janzen
Lee's missed 10 cuts in a row. Carlos is a great ball striker and should play well with these bermuda greens.

DOUG MILNE: Lucas Glover, thanks for joining us. Couple of opening comments about how you're feeling and playing. Just kind of assess the state of the game as we head into the week.
LUCAS GLOVER: I have no idea. I haven't played in three weeks. I played 15 holes since Canada and practiced about three times. Just played nine and it wasn't too good, so we'll see.

Leonard -110 over Glover

Ken Duke 40 /1

Q. Everybody is playing for something this week. What are you playing for?
KEN DUKE: To win. Everyone here wants me to win and I probably know this course as good as anyone. I feel like my game is in good shape. I had a week off last week. I've had a great year and I think it'll be even better if I can win one, one of these last two. I'm going to play the next two.
Just going to have fun and relax. Do what we done all year: Just play good golf.

Q. Do you know like if you finish top 40, top 30, what's at stake for where you go? Anything specifically you'd really like to...
KEN DUKE: I do. I do know if you finish top 30 on the Money List you get into an Augusta and maybe the U.S. Open, too. That's what I'm shooting for. If I win I think it would take care of it no question. But I think the win would be more just setting off the whole year as good a year as I've had.
It would just be a balloon that would be unbelievable. Coming out on the TOUR the second time around and be where I am, I can't ask for any more right now. Just keep plugging along.

Q. Do you feel you have a real advantage maybe over the other players because you've played here so much and it's your home course, with the nuances of the fairways and the greens, even though it's wet?
KEN DUKE: I think I do. I know what the greens do. If you're in doubt, some guys might say, Well, you're in doubt. This putt, this putt. I feel like I know what the greens do, and I think that's what it comes down. I know the traditional wind and I know if the wind switches, I know how the golf course plays.
No one that plays -- no one comes out here to play, so I think I have a big advantage.

Decided to make Leonard a 6 unit play.. (7 - 2 -3 on the year with these)

Q. What are your first impressions, and how do you think it suits your game?
JUSTIN LEONARD: I think it suits my game fairly well. You certainly have to -- the fairways are very narrow and the rough is penal enough to make you think about it, so it's good to put the ball in play.
The greens are beautiful greens. I mean, you know, condition-wise they're probably as good as we'll see all year. So you know, looking forward to getting started tomorrow
Q. What can you take from your round today as far as your chances this week? Seemed like you were able to make some birdies out there.
JUSTIN LEONARD: Well, I mean, it's Wednesday. Just trying to -- getting the lines off these tees is kind of tough. The areas where you're hitting to aren't really clearly defined. Today was just reaffirming what I saw yesterday, and you know, like I said, the greens are so good you're going to be able to make some putts this week.
I played solid, so I'm maybe not going to have to practice quite as much as I normally would. But if anything, I felt like I got a little more comfortable with the golf course and like I said, earlier, I think it suits my game.

Also calc seems confident

DOUG MILNE: Thanks for stopping in. We just wanted to chat with you for a few minutes. You're playing well. T2 at the Tour Championship; T14 at Frys.com, just a couple general comments about the state of the game. Obviously, you played well today, just a couple comments...
MARK CALCAVECCHIA: I did. I kind of got back on track today. Grayhawk last week, I was just kind of out of it. I don't know what happened there. I really got flustered on the greens. A lot of guys had trouble putting them. They were tough to read and they were grainy. Tough to get the right speed.
I didn't watch much of it on TV in the weekend, but I noticed some other guys missed putts, too. It wasn't just me. So I forget about that, and, you know, it was good to get back to Florida. I played great today. I liked the course.

course wet and long (but par 73) with penal rough but it is still a resort course could prove a lottery and have no real idea how to cap this!!

going to try a couple of outside plays on players in decent form with good total driving who can make birdies and eagles:

Kent Jones 80/1 @ BoyleSports
Chris Stroud 100/1 @ VC

going to have a look at match bets now but unless something jumps out, gut instinct is won't bother.
