I dont think you can find a worse 3,4,5 starters in the MAJOR LEAGUE than the DISASTROS!!!!!

why didn't they give him a few starts in the regular season, and then evaluate him?

I see Jimmy actually had the nerve to call it "just a baseball decision?" :shrug: :nono: You kidding me??? Who's so awesome on that staff that they can suddenly afford to get rid of Reynolds? You already answered that -- NOBODY!!

Bottom line is this sends a HORRIBLE message to your ballclub and let's them openly question your seriousness about winning. The Pirates -- although not going anywhere to begin with -- did something a little similar to this a few days ago, releasing reliever Matt Herges. Not a huge deal except for the fact that they actually TRADED for this guy during the off-season AND he had posted a none-too-terrible ERA of just under 2.00 during the spring! Needless to say, I don't get what the hell these teams are trying to do
