Finally!!!

Finally, the real 2024 NBA season begins. I don’t much care for the low projected scores, especially for a 1st round, and I think more weight is being given to regular season results than it should - but it is what it is. I reworked the weighting of all variables weeks ago, and I was mostly sober doing so, so I’m going to trust it.

The Standings I’ve posted below doesn’t include Play-in results, or the final seedings. They are just standings based on regular season win/loss results.

Placing bets on college and pro basketball games is a business best done at the last minute before tip-off. Not exactly news, naturally, but worth a mention when the NBA is up to its’ neck in in the gambling business, and is populated by professional liars like 76ers coach Nick Nurse who has unabashedly – sometimes within that last minute - moved lines with his lineup fibs, over and over again. Called out by other coaches for his lies, the NBA has – numerous times – professed to be “investigating”, yet curiously, never so much as levied a fine on the golden boy of Draft Kings.

I never give tips on how anyone should bet, but this is getting outrageous, so (unless you have the number to one of the many burner phones Nurse is reported to have) I am advising all gamblers to stay clear of any game Nick Nurse is within a thousand miles of.
