Evan is picking 4 upsets this week.

Appleby over Simpson-not an upset as Appleby is the slight favorite. I'm not crazy about picking British fights. I do on occasion but I know so little about these guys that it's tough to gauge how good they really are. Based on what I've read, I'd pick Appleby.

Mora over Forrest-He sees it as an even fight and good value @+500. That line is going to move. I wish I had waited to place my parlay. I like VF here. He's proven world class where as Mora still needs to make a name for himself. I see it being a close fight but VF prevailing by dec.

Mbaye over Ngoud. Evan like Mbaye. I think Ngoud wins a dec.

Lopez over Ponce. This is the only dog I took. Ponce is a Rocky Marciano type fighter...crude but VERY strong and determined. But he can be beat. A shrp shooting counterpuncher can time him and make him look like an amateur. IF Lopez stays on his feet then I think he'll pull it off.

I feel strongly regarding Lopez only. Also a bud says "insiders" feel if Forrest can't win here he needs to hang em up. I played Lopez; maybe Mora later. Also price is dropping on Miranda over Abraham, FYI. GL Romi.

Simpson is from my home town of Greenock. I am surprised that there is a domestic champ from there as it is a tiny shithole of a place. He is trained by a guy I trained with 20 years ago called Danny Lee.

I won't bet on the fight but I think Appleby takes it. One worry is, Simson has improved a lot over this past 2 years and Appleby has skill but has never gone past 8 rounds.

Small parlay with Lopez dec- pavlik- Forrest goes 9 rds, giving 1 k.

Anything can happen with this Lopez matchup, so not worth a big risk.

Romi i took Lopez not knowing either fighter and not because of "the man" It was because of what you said about him being the slick counter puncher. My type of fighter. Thanks.

You are welcome. Glad you got in on that. I mentioned to somebody that Ponce was as beatable as Vic Darchinan and Arce. I didn't have a whole lot of info on Lopez but I always felt Ponce could be had by somebody that could time him and nail him w/hard shots. Ponce is strong and tough as nails but his mechanics are horrible. That being said, I never envisioned Ponce getting thumped in the 1st rd.

Looks like most in here had a good week. I lost my parlays due to forrest fading but I had enough on Williams and Lopez to make a nice profit yesterday. After the parlay loss I put some dough on the Pav under to add a little icing to the cake. All in all a VERY nice week.
