I saw a few videos today that pissed me off.
Current day-time contacts are shallower than the puddle of my memory so rant ensues forthwith.

60 Minutes (Nov13'11)
---Nothing new, here. Main story was about Congressmen cashing in via Wall St on insider information. What a shocker. John Corzine would be proud.

Phantom Shares ('07?...Bloomberg report)
---On naked short-selling. Nothing new, again. Some better shit out there, re-the Patrick Byrne word--one this shiite. Short-selling is totally legal and the nudity only plays once it's too late to manage. For the SEC and other regulatory agencies, anywho.

No End in Sight (2007)
---Just some more Iraq shiite. Though I hadn't caught this doc before. Nothing new, again, but am I the only one that wants to see Mr.Rumsfeld Fallujah'ed? As everywhere, there are some decent people within the U.S. beaurocracy, which was good to see, but it seems that the people whose decisions get implemented are those least qualified for a place in whatever hides in the clouds.

Easy to see why anti-Americanism is flourishing.
I don't hate the U.S. as I am friends with many Americans and I believe that most are decent, sane people. It is politicians that have to be questioned every step of the way and it is in this fashion that my friends south of the border remain a detriment to my sanity. All politicians are full of shit but south of 40 seems to be beyond comprehension.

I must confess to being thrilled upon the announcement of the Obama victory, way back when, but to also being dismayed upon learning of his cabinet appointments. The latter made me hold out little hope for change but the pudding proof has transcended discouraging contenance nonetheless.

At least I've got my health.

P.S.

The 60 Minutes did a couple of other stories. The one regarding Tasers was more convincing of the value as apposed to the detiment. Some cops have good judgement and some don't (had my share of both) but I presume that does that do will let discretion be the greater part of valour.

The final story was about UMBC. A feel-good story about a Maryland University. Sounds okay and maybe you fuckers have hope.

Not so much criticizing the U.S. We're both, in essence, collonies of the former British empire. Progress has becometh but I must submit that corruption is now fluent in the Southern domain while it remains moderately fringe-like up here in snowville.

Just IMO.
What isn't.

Stop by for a brew or two anytime, Woodson.
My plan has been to get down to a SB party but my plans remain thrones in straw houses.

May April March.
