My son was playing in Cooperstown and he hit a line shot that the right fielder fielded cleanly on 1 short hop and threw my son out at first. :scared
I've umpired 4 times at CDP - In games I've called, I would say I have seen about five 8-3's and two 7-3's - :scared:scared:scared
Scoot, The old school UIC, use to tell us that if you think anything is a clean single, you are going to get hit in the back of the head. Always "Chest to Ball"

My son came inches away from throwing a kid out at first from left field. Forgot about it until you mentioned this.
