Rose is the obvious pick after winning at Congressional and again last week on perhaps an even a tougher track at the Scottish Open in Aberdeen at 16/1, but I quite fancy a piece of Woods at 22/1 - he sure knows how to play the course and fancy he'll be around for the weekend.

Outside Kristoffer Broberg, runner up last week in Aberdeen at 200/1 e/w 7 places

Some obvious 1st round 3 balls:
Bjorn tb Cink/Reed
Casey tb English/Every
McIlroy tb Spieth/Matsuyama
Broberg tb McKechnie/Pagunsun

Round 1 play (2pts):

Ryan Moore to beat Matteo Manassero -116 @ Bet365
Looking for yet another fast start from Moore - he ranks 2nd in Round 1 Scoring Average, which is hardly a surprise given that he has finished rd1 inside the top-20 in 17 of his last 21 starts. In good form (7th and 5th in his last two starts) with six top-10 finishes and win already this season, he could certainly repeat last year's performance when he was in 5th place heading into the final round. Manassero has made just one cut in three starts in this event, whereas Moore has missed the cut just once in four starts, and even though Manassero did finish 4th last week, it was only his second top-10 finish in over a year. So, without the form or the links experience to match the American, Manassero should struggle in this matchup over more than just the first round.

[unofficial rd1 system plays: Johnson D tb Donald -110; Moore tb Molinari F -106; Moore tb Gallacher -105; Mahan tb Walker -105]

Gonna stick with some of these winners for day two as no reason why they won't do the same again - Bjorn, Broberg, and adding Stephen Gallacher tb Mahan/Dubisson. Steering clear of McIlroy because of Friday curse - he had some lucky breaks today.

Round 2 play (2pts):

Jim Furyk to beat Rickie Fowler +100 @ ToteSport
Admittedly, he was playing in the easier conditions today, but Furyk did everything right in his quest to, at least, match his 4th place finish when the Open was last at Royal Liverpool: he ranked 2nd in fairways hit and 4th in greens in regulation in today's round en route to finishing 3rd on the leaderboard. That puts him one shot ahead of Fowler who has shown some form in his last two events, but this is still a matchup dominated by Furyk, particularly in the first two rounds where he leads Fowler 18-5-5 h2h over the last 12 months. Playing in the tougher conditions tomorrow, Furyk's experience and patience should give him a bigger edge in rd2.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Cink tb Grace -105; Snedeker tb DeLaet +102; Haas tb Dufner +100; Bradley tb Lowry +115]
